I would assume the one on miamidolphins.com is current. They've moved several players. Renaldo Hill was listed as a SS, Quentin Moses is now Matt Roth's backup at LOLB, Henne ahead of Beck, Joey Thomas is gone. I suspect the only real move left is adding Culver to SS and moving Hill back to FS or CB (where he played in Oakland).
What happened with Jason Allen? I thought he played really well all preseason...only to end up having Crocker take his spot? Any info on that?
I'm not really sure what the deal is. Crocker did start the last 2 preseason games I believe; though I'd still think Jason Allen would open up against the Jets at FS unless he's being converted to CB again - a move that would allow Hill to be switched back to FS according to the current depth chart.
Jason Allen has been playing corner more in the recent weeks and can see him being a S/CB hybrid type this season and possibly being a full time corner in the future.
I agree with the bold. I think he will be splitting time at both spots this year. His versatility may have been the reason we are keeping four CB's on the team. He and Renaldo Hill can play both S and CB. I'm not sure how I feel about it though. I like his versatility but I'm tired of moving this guy around. Let him develop into a playmaker for us at the Safety spot. He can make plays in the simplistic defense. We'll see how it plays out this time though.
