I for one am not going to temper my excitement, we must change are reputation and identity as a fan base just like our players are trying to do for us... and i will tell you how it can be done...
We must match the emotional energy that our team is going to bring to the san diego game, they are going to be FIERCELY READY TO PLAY THAT FOOTBALL GAME, we as fans must give them that emotional energy and create an electric crowd in that deathtrap of a stadium.
If our mentality is, Well, lets wait to see how we do before we get excited ,then you are just feeding the horrible rhythm that we as fans are in, our team took a chance last week, they put all the marbles in one basket to get the win and change the rhythm, Joey porter has some major cahonies to come out and say we will get our first win.
WE THE FANS NOW MUST TAKE A CHANCE..LETS GET EXCITED, lets spread the word, lets get to the stadium and think were gonna win, if we take this mentality it will create excitement and energy which will translate to our players on the field and make them play better which gives us a better chance of winning the game...
Who cares if were let down with a loss, i promise you it wont be because of lack of heart and passion, iam a growm man, i can deal with those consequences.
So iam speaking to anyone who is curbing their enthusiasm....PLEASE DON'T, GET EXCITED.....GET PUMPED!!!!, DO A FLYING CHEST BUMP WITH YOUR FRIEND..and then somehow someway....GET TO THAT CHARGER GAME A SCREAM YOUR FREAKIN HEAD OFF..
Maybe just maybe the team will pull it off and people will start to talk about how great the Miami Dolphin Fans are. WE CAN MAKE AN IMPACT ON THE GAME...
THE PHISHBONE WILL ROLL THE CHARGERS!!!..Iam such a homer i know but iam serious guys.

Well guess what Brother DJ, I just checked Craigslist for some tickets because I share your emotions. I think we can beat the allmighty Chargers at Joe Robbie!! I want to avenge the 22-21 heartbreaker in San Diego during the playoffs and the 50-28 shellacking that Fouts once threw down on us..
The Bellicheat Buster will be in full effect two weeks from now!!!! -
I so agree with everything you are saying. I live in Tennesee and could never get to the game so I can't help that way. However, I think if the team came out to filled stadium of crazy fans hoopin and hollerin and they see a definate change in the fans demeanor, it will flow to the team. They will feed off of this. They took a chance Sunday with some innovative football and were successfull. They will feed off that for 2 weeks in practice and preparation for San Diego. If they come out and see a crazy group of hyped up Phin Fans it will no doubt amp them up. I AM WITH YOU BROTHER!! (AT LEAST IN SPIRIT) GO PHINS!!!

A professional athlete can reach a higher level of play if their home crowd is inspiring them, theres no question in my mind that this is true, its also a reason why it will be so hard to win it all playing in our stadium....until we change are energy they will always play the same...which will be a little less hard then what they would if we were up for the game. -
Great post! If I were anywhere near Florida I would be right there with you. -
Well my heart's with you. Now I only need a week and a half to get my brain to follow. Good thing we have a bye week.

Nothing wrong with being excited, doesn't cost anything, doesn't hurt anyone and shouldn't get anyone upset about it.
This team is young and growing and already has returned a measure of respectability to Miami by beating, no, by humiliating the defending AFC champs on their home field.
Last year NE was running up the score against teams now they know what it feels like thanks to our young Miami Dolphins.
We all wanted Miami to beat NE considering their streak and aura of invincibility given them by the media and others. We had our doubts but our team gave us a gift that we can all beam about and feel proud about. We may not win many more games this year but we can feel a lot better about who's hands our team is in. I can also watch the draft next year with excitement and not the dread and apprehension we have had for years.
This is just my opinion but I am excited about the Dolphins and not embarrased or ashamed to be that way! -

i'd die to see our home crowd be what it once was.

Some of these guys have the mentality of gladiators, they feed off the energy of the crowd, they need it, they crave and if we cant give it to them, there gonna subconsiously not play up to the level that they would if they were in a stadium that was electric. -
I'm with you all you way..... GO FINS!!!!!!!
