Dan Carpenter has made more clutch kicks in a year and a half than Mare had in his career.

That is not true. At the beginning of his career Mare was one of the best kickers in the league.

Not to mention one of, if not the best onside guys at the time.

Spot on analysis of where the team is at I think. Better Pass rush, and close on some of those tackles, and a bit better up the middle coverage on the defense. And our ST is average with sparks of awesome.

As much as I want to see this team do it this year, I keep looking at the draft, and next year, and thinking we've got the makings of a really awesome team with just one solid draft.

IF we are going to be superbowl contenders "next" year we are going to have to fill in some of our needs via FA. IMO we are 6 players away... WR, TE, ILB x2, passrush end or LB and a SS.

Eh, I agree to some effect. But I think between JT, Roth, and Wake we might be able to ignore the OLB position for now. I think if we get one strong ILB, we can skate by with Crowder. So really that brings the list down to a more manageable 4. Either way I totally think it's do-able, it's just going to require the right moves by the FO.

I knew him from coaching soccer in Broward County, always had a big foot. Followed his career since the 9th grade. Nice kid.
