Dick Haley has been in the player personnel business for 41 years and has always been known as a great evaluator of talent. He was instrumental in putting together the great Pittsburgh Steelers teams of the 1970s that won four Super Bowls. Now with the New York Jets, he works behind the scenes with his scouting staff to provide evaluations for Bill Parcells and Al Groh.

Haley has helped to rebuild an offensive line that has given up the fewest sacks (11) in the NFL this season. And the team's four first-round picks this past spring -- tight end Anthony Becht, defensive ends John Abraham and Shaun Ellis, and QB Chad Pennington -- look like building blocks for years to come.

I was just reading an article about the greatest draft of all time a couple of days ago. Amazing drafts they had in the early '70s. I always wondered who was in charge of those drafts. Great pickup!
