That article was funny as he is adamant about his knee being fine and them following up infinity more times, "so how's your knee?"..."IT'S BLOODY FINE!!!"

That's good to hear. I thought it was something that would give him problems, but it seems like the entire thing was overblown. He seems like a gem. Hopefully he can continue to progress with more playing time. Love his running style.

I'd love it if Ajayi ends up being awesome.

    Obviously.

Did he say he doesn't have to take meds for the pain and doesn't have to be held out of practice, like some folks have been reporting?

Ajayi's knee issue isn't a tendon issue, like ACL/MCL tear or sprain. It's a cartilage issue (essentially the lubrication between bones). He has very little cartilage left in the knee, so he might be bone-on-bone in a few years. At that point, it would basically be arthritis, and he might be done. Or maybe he could try the "Kobe Procedure", and that might work.

The point is that Ajayi's knee is fine for now. But as Mike Mayock said, he's probably a "one contract running back". Some say "two to three good years".

If we have 3 years with him, then lets make the most of his ability. Although I don't think this will be the case. I think he'll be here for a long time.

Only one way to find out if it's in NFL condition and that's to run him more.

That is exactly what Campbell is planning to do...run him more often.

Yet people around here talk about him like he's a cripple that we have to treat with extreme caution.

There have been rumors since the draft about his knee. We didn't just make it up. There obviously is/was something going on.

I assume there is no issue to be concerned about now. I think we should trust that what he said was true until we see otherwise.

    Slightly left of center
His "knee issue" was from his junior year. He had a very productive Senior year but fell down the draft board because of articles about his "knee issue". He cleared every physical for a full yr of highly productive college ball, combine, workouts etc. etc.,

Stoopid reporters cost that man millions.

That's real my man. I think he might be a potential 1st rounder.

NFL teams do not get their info from reporters, they get to see the doctors reports, reporters do not, they try to buy info from team sources or just make stuff up, but that's for the fans, the teams rely on the actual doctors reports, he had a very bad knee injury, and reports were that the doctors had to cut a lot of cartilage out that was beyond repair.

There is a reason he lasted until the 5th round, with his production and talent, and it's not like Miller, he didn't drop, he was just over estimated by draftniks, he was not a productive runner until his final year, and he was lacking in certain areas, not Ajayi, he dropped due to doctors reports.

I have no problem using the kid, he looks good, but I'm not letting go of Miller and "trusting" in his knee, that's just not smart football imo.

No I get that. But the only way we're gonna know if he can hold up is to feed him the rock from here on out.

He would not be the first or last RB(or any position) for that matter to have knee issues and go on to have a fruitful career.

Right on. I LOVE how he runs! He is a beast. He runs angry. Spins immediately when hit and just bulls through like a bull. I would love to see him get more carries. He is a Marshawn Lynch junior.
