So I come home today from work, already excited because I was down along the Detroit River this afternoon watching the practice for the Red Bull Air Race... which is totally WILD!!! Then I get home, have a few cold ones, check my email... and I get this email advising me that I've been selected in the random drawing for first crack at buying some tickets for the Dolphins/Bills game at the Rogers Center in Toronto!!!! Toronto is about 3.5 - 4 hours from me, but its probably the only chance I'll get to see the phins for the next few years, at least until they come back to detroit again! I'm pretty excited thats for sure!!!!! Hopefully I'm able to get some... theyre pretty damn expensive though. Plus it appears you have to buy the three game package, which is for the two preseason games too, so its like 400 something each! I'll have to read the details later, im too excited right now!!! woo!!!! :up:

oh for sure. Theres alot of dolphins fans it Canada I believe. I coudlnt believe how many were getting on the bus with me when we took it over to Detroit for the Lions/Phins game on thanksgiving. I imagine we will be represented well at the Toronto game too.

The emails told me that tickets go on sale on June 4th, so next wednesday! :up:

the air races are incredible!!! its ridiculous how fast the planes are going, and the quick and precise turns theyre making, the g's they are pulling in some of those turns, its just unreal.. and incredible to see. I have tickets to go to the race day on sunday, i'm bringing my camera, so hopefully I'll have some pictures, maybe even a video. its absolutely wild to see!!! The Detroit/Windsor area seems to have a bad reputation, but they always seem to attract some pretty cool things, and this is definitely one of them!

 

Just to update everyone... as it turns out, they went on sale today, I logged in to the site to check it out, and they force me to buy either a 3 or 8 game package. 8 is totally out of the question, the 3 game package is for the 08 preseason and regular season game, and then an 09 regular season game. I have no interest in any of them other than the phins/bills game this year. Also, they only allow you to select tickets in the 500 level and the 100 level. The 500 level at the rogers center isnt even worth the price of admission youre so high up and so far away from the field. and the seats in the 100 level are $295 each, stuffed in the corners of the endzones, about 50 rows up. I'm thinking i might pass. I definately dont want to get stuck with tickets for a preseason game, and next years regular season game that i have to worry about selling. That's pretty disappointing, and its a pretty stupid way of selling the tickets as far as im concerned. Maybe ill just wait and look at stubhub and stuff like the week before the game to see if i can find someone desperately trying to rid themselves of tickets. Im not sure what to do, but im leaning towards passing... hmm...

 

yeah i mentioned that in my earlier post from today in my update to everyone... i think im going to pass, 300 bucks or so for a ticket, plus for hotel, and then the cost of gas to drive up... plus beer. thats a damn pricey football game. :no:
