http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/04/22/salary-cap-space-as-of-april-22/ right now the Dolphins are sitting at $13.19 million i can't wait til teams start cutting people to make room for their rookie signings. here's some other teams that are running low: The freaking Eagles have $37.44 million!
Wow, this could mean we are bigger players for Anquan Boldin than I had originally thought. And this also makes me wonder how Baltimore could even be in the running for Boldin with less than a mill in space.
The Eagles are gonna feel the loss of Dawkins and Sheppard this year. Their stingy cap policy is going to bite them in the buttox.
Dawkins yes, Sheppard no. Lito was the #4 CB on their roster last year...... Joselio Hanson beat him out for the nickel CB spot. They wont miss Lito at all because Lito only played in dime packages. And I wouldnt really call them stingy.... they signed Samuel to a big money deal, gave big money to Stacy Andrews, and gave Jason Peters pretty good money, and last time I checked, McNabb is well paid and so is Westbrook. I wouldnt call that a stingy cap policy. Guys like Sheldon Brown forget that the Eagles didnt force him to sign his extension, he chose to do so. The Eagles risked Brown being injured when they gave him a 7.5 mil signing bonus as part of his extension. No one knew at the time Brown signed his contract that the salary cap was going to increase the way it did.
The signing of gonzales just may put parcells over the edge {now is the time, especially with pennington} when it comes to signing boldin, if there even thinking about receiver with their first pick, i cant think of any logical reason not to.
