Kind of a Draft topic but also kind of a Dolphins topic so it can go either forum. Round 1 - #12 Round 2 - #42 Round 2 - #54 Round 3 - #77 Round 3 - #82 Round 4 - #108 to #112 The 4th round pick will depend on how many compensatory selections in the 3rd round are handed out. In the 10 drafts from 2003 to 2012 there were 23 compensatory picks handed out in the 3rd round. Seems like either 1 pick or 4 picks. The Dolphins should probably get a compensatory pick as they lost Chad Henne, Kendall Langford, Will Allen and Marvin Mitchell while gaining Richard Marshall, Legedu Naanee and Artis Hicks. But it likely won't be a 3rd round pick. Maybe a 6th round pick.
Ah, so Comp Picks go the following year not the current year. If we lose a couple of players this FA we won't see picks until 2014. IIRC, #42 is a historically good spot. Last 3 #42's: Jarius Byrd Rob Gronkowski Bruce Reed Last 3 #54 -Phil Loadholt -Carlos Dunlap -Jaiqwan Jarret
Traditionally speaking the top 10 picks of a new day are supposed to be a little bit better than usual. The old sweet spot was supposed to be the top picks in the 4th round back when the Draft was two days. Now that it's three days the top 10 picks in the 2nd round MAY have similar juice, and the Dolphins pick #10 in the 2nd round. On the other hand the Dolphins will pick 14th in the 4th round.
The 2nd round pick could get bumped back to 55 if the Saints appeal their lost draft pick for Bounty Gate and win. Haven't heard yet if they plan to appeal but if the players won their case no reason to think the Saints won't try to recoup that pick also Edit: I found this NBC report: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ave-a-significant-draft-pick-penalty-in-2013/ Basically the 2013 2nd round pick penalty can be reduced if the Saints cooperate with “development and implementation of programs to instruct players and coaches at all levels on principles of player safety, fair play, and sportsmanship,”
Trade down from 12 and pick up another 3rd, or a 2nd if possible. There's going to be a TON of good value in the 2nd and 3rd.
It's B+W HiDef. Seriously though, we need elite, physical talent, that is found at the top of the draft And if one looks at all of our picks, and our FA's, we could either be in for a rebuild or simply an overall depth upgrade, inow Ireland could go either way. If the rebuild option is chosen, then trading back makes sense, if it is upgrade then it would not. I'd almost take a draft position swap this yr for picks in 2014. No one has mentioned this yet..we could be in for a rebuilding year.
Magnification is not the same as definition. Watching games on that contraption, no wonder you thought Martin was pass blocking as well as Jake.
We do. I didn't list them. By the time you get in those rounds there have been a lot of compensatory picks handed out so it's impossible to know which pick you are and the range of picks you might be at gets even wider.
