According to Adam Schefter the Dolphins are supposed to make a push to re-sign Bell today! With the signing of Wilson keeping Bell would make a formidible duo at safety! Add a Surtain or the like and this secondary would go from ok to pretty scary in my opinion!

Bell & Wilson would be an extremely physical hard hitting safety duo.

Forget about Surtain dude.

Lets Go after some guys like Liegh Bodden or Bryant McFadden...or lets re-sign Goody. Alos Philip Buchanon from Tampa is a free agent.

i think if bell gets locked up, and with wilson in the fold now the safety position looks very strong.

I could see a corner being selected with one of our first three picks, probably not the 25th pick, but maybe one of our seconds.

Bell and Wilson would immediately be top 5 safety duo in the league, IMO. Hard hitters, both play the ball well, both have great speed. ONE gets his share of INTs and both can blitz well. And they are both SURE tacklers. Gotta love that.

I want Yeremiah Bell and Gibril Wilson. A hard hitting defensive back field would be great

Vontae Davis...C'mon down...

Surtain is done IMO...After watching him look like a d-lineman trying to chase down a big play that went for a td.

I wish I had video of it.

After the regular season finale win over the NYJ, Bell was interviewed on miamidolphins.com. His pending free agency was brought up and Bell said, I'm paraphrasing here but it's pretty close: "This is the only team I've been with. I can't imagine playing anywhere else, but you never know".

I've got a gut feeling he's going to either sign before FA hits, or they'll let him test the market and he'll give us a hometown discount.

If I was the Dolphins I would put a small little clause in the contract allowing One person from the Dolphin's Front Office to sucker punch Rosenhaus one time... I would love to see Parcells punching Rosenhaus in the stomach.

Drew does not make those types of decisions. The players do. Don't let your hate for Drew cloud reality.

Tanking is like taking a Greyhound bus cross-country. Sure, it may eventually get you where you want to go, but it’s messy and unpleasant and uncomfortable, it stinks, the entire time you’ll be wishing you weren’t there, and not everybody along for the ride is going to make it to the end. - Quote stolen from Deadspin

Ok hands up, who (like me) keeps checking back here every 20 minutes or so to see if we re-signed Bell?

I mentioned in another thread that Crowder was on Joe Rose this morning and he said that since he signed, he was lobbying Bell and Goody hard to get them back.

I don't know if it's near a top 5 safety duo rank but IMO it definitely turns a clear weak point and one of the defenses major concerns into a solid area.

Bring in a solid corner or find a talent at CB in the draft and I feel good about or secondary.

That would be a devastating combo at Safety. Not only would teams have to worry about Bell blitsing, but Wilson as well. Also this will allow us to do more on defense. Lets just hope we can sign Bell

anyone read this part of the blog??

It’s worth pointing out that if Miami cuts running back Ricky Williams, the team will save $3.5 million against the salary cap. Is that worth it to the Dolphins?
