That is a given for him against us. He is a very talented WR, and we usually make him look even better then that.
Our defensive secondary makes any receiver look good, makes good receivers look great and makes great receivers look,..well,.. ah..you know what I mean. I have confidence it will get better over time and some better players brought in thru the draft and FA. It wasn't a priority this year but I bet it will be next year.
Has he ever had 2 great games in a row though? He played really well against SD, so maybe he wont against us? Can be a great reciever, but not the most consistent, kinda like Santana Moss.
You are probably right, depends also how effective our front 7 are, if they can put some serious pressure to Trent we may can contain the long ball to Evans.....
I don't know about his consistency, but it seems that we have more trouble with him when Losman plays than when he doesn't..... Maybe we'll luck out...
Unless our front 7 make it a long day for Trent Edwards, but yeah I think its going to be a looong day for our secondary.
Watch the blitz I believe this week we have to watch how much we blitz because everytime we do we take people out of coverage so they get alot more one on ones then there should be and we dont have any lockdown corners to keep playing one on one all day long. But I have faith this week that Miami will step it up and prove they are better than 2-4. WE NEED YOU WILL ALLEN TO STEP UP!!!
Buffalo's game plan -- same as every other team that's beaten us -- throw deep, throw often. If they burn us early, it's over. This offense is not designed for catch-up. If we score first and control the running game, then we have a good shot. If not, we're toast!!! GO PHINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We played great defense at home last year, especially against Evans, until the big play. It's either a big completion, or a big PI on Will Allen covering Lee Evans. Will's problem is that he covers him well, but because his ball skills are worse than my 5 yr old cousins, he always runs into, grabs, or commits some type of bump for a PI.
I dont think Will Allen committs any more PI penalties than your average corner. If it appears that way, its because hes our best cover corner and always matched up against the opposing teams #1 WR. But I think you're selling him a little short.
I honestly believe had that play stood the perception of Ginn would be alot different in the minds of fans.
Actually he's not always matched up. We look like we're playing zone most of the time so he's really just responsible for his particular zone rather than man against the other team's #1 WR. Just doesn't have the ball skills to really be a complete man cover corner.
