Weird list... I'd say there are many "better" logos than the ones listed, but the article seems to connect the logo with identity in the sport and the history of the franchise like the Bulls and Yankees. The Bears logo best in the NFL? Really? Lame.

Nice props to the Dolphins though on any account, especially since this version of the logo is only 15 years old. I'm surprised the Dallas Cowboys star isn't on the list.

I used to always say the Packers "G" stood for "Goons".

I was thinking about the Dolphins logo and colors earlier today, I sway back and forth on preferring the old 70s & 80s lighter colors and smaller Dolphin design vs the darker colors and fat Dolphin.

 

That guy missed the boat on some logos. He must just like tradition. I can think of a few NBA logos that I like better.

 

It's a basketball on fire. How is that not worthy of the top ten? Especially considering the Lakers' logo made it. The Heat's logo is better than the Lakers'.

 

I can't say I agree much with the list. And while I've always liked how unique the Dolphin team colors are, I don't think the logo is all that great. I am just not overly enamored of cartoon animals with anthropomorphic characteristics on a logo.

 

I disagree with him a lot. Later i am going to post a thread of my top 10 logos. A lot of logos that should have been on there missed

 

lakers, bulls and mets are the only ones i have a problem is. dont see what is special about any of those. i would replace those three with the steelers, raiders and tigers

 

i would have thrown this logo on there. As a dolphin fan i will admit this logo is great, and on the white helmets, amazing

He rated them more as classic logos (surprised Steeler's logo wasn't on the list) IMO more of the animal mascot teams have better logos.

 

Dolphins are ruthless, and so smart. When you see them on discovery channel teaming up on a million bait fish and how they do it, is amazing.

Rafi doesn't like the cartoon Dolphin, for me, I always loved the White and Coral and Aqua colors, besides on TV all you see are those colors and a bluish blob with a circle around it anyway.

lol. Heh. Dolphins are playful. :) Considering that they ejaculate at a force hard enough to injure (I've heard it compared to a shotgun blast), it's a good idea not to take them up on their offers. :)

I bet you get a lot of Raider games. Similar to here. I get a ton of Jaguars games. I wish Goodell would send their asses to Canada already.

 

LOL, the Raiders rarely sell out a home game so they're only really on during away games. And with Sunday ticket I don't have to watch too many Raider games. But with the Dolphins coming to Oakland this year I'm kind of stuck. Do I bite the bullet and go to the collesium (which I HATE doing) or drive to my friends house in Sacramento and watch there because they're out of the blackout zone.

 

Sorry for the quick assumption. I'm usually pretty good about not assuming lol. I've heard it gets pretty nasty at the Colesium but I've never been there. Whichever you choose, best of luck!
