ILB, AD knows Nolan's D and can play OLB/ILB/DE, with Crowder potentially missing time, we could use a Vetern ILB who can run stuff.
I think the main reason is that he is asking for too much money. Padre just posted that we waived three players today so that means we do have space to sign him in case the Dolphins do decided to sign him today or whenever.
He could replace Odrick too while he's out. If he does know the system Nolan runs, it probably will be a good signing.
I hope he can still play and that we sign him. The injuries are just starting to be bothersome. If he still has strength and a burst ... go for it. I don't see him as an ILB however. He's pretty strictly a strong side DE/OLB. But, the way Nolan's D is, he will likely move around a lot and rush from different angles. As an aside: anyone know what teams do with LB's these days when they work them out? Do they put them against other players? Get them to show their strength? Would be interesting to watch the workout and what they put the player through.
I thought the bolded part was interesting....Thomas, Douglas?? Dolphins waived LB Micah Johnson. The undrafted rookie out of Kentucky was signed for depth when A.J. Edds (knee) went down for the season. He's likely being cleared out now as the Dolphins prepare to add a vested veteran.
In 08, Ireland would sign a guy, play him a week, cut him, then sign someone else, then maybe sign the guy again later in the year.
Jest resigned Howard Green a NT, meaning they would have to make another move to sign Thomas, and on a Wednesday it is better to have "your" guys in here to sit in on the Unit meetings to learn the game plan. INOW, it is unlikely that AD is going to sign anywhere this week.
We will know soon enough. Q actually had a very effective game vs the Bills, and with Ikaika already in house, AD would have to be looked at as a ILB.
yeah im not sure he fits our team, but he is a veteren and can be put in multiple spots. which we like. This is intrugueing getting a vet with a chip on his shoulder cheap hopefully or we will pass imo
Ad Thomas played under Nolan's Defense in Baltimore so I think Thomas might have some knowledge of the way the Dolphins Defense will play. As per the cheap part, I hear that the Jets offered him the minimum for a veteran on Monday.
now thats cheap! As far as Nolan i like it ty for the info. Lets hope he has his head on straight and isnt late to practice from the snow storms in miami
No its like Crowders not here dude. He's maybe hanging with Dave? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6wV7rAKMNE"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6wV7rAKMNE[/ame]
Any chance they sign back Douglas?? He didnt look that bad, did he?? especially if this Odrick 6 weeks is true...
Alright, have to ask: Are Finyank and siciliansith twins? They have pretty much the same avatar. What is the story here fellas?
We are both from the Northeast soo.... I gotta say my Spar looks tough, and ready to punch you in the gullet....look his right hand is even in a fist ready..... his....ehhh kind of a lighthearted Spar...not down with it....
My Sparano doesnt clench his fist, he just points to the seat he don't like and says he sleeps with the fishes. EDIT: Points to Padre, so finyank sparano hits em with a fist while i get the cement ready
Oh, so is that why you both have cars with really big trunks? One for the cement and lime and shovels, the other for the err..package? One has Tone after winning the other has Tone barking at someone..hmmm..
My Tone's attire is cooler....his jacket is more trendy....and isnt hiding under the veil of sunglasses.....YOU KNOW WHEN TONE IS YELLING AT YOU!!! or getting ready to off you that is...
I'm hoping we sign him just so the Jets don't. I'd love to take a player away from them, even if he is old. You know that Mike Nolan would probably be able to get the most out of him. It's not like he would be a starter. Who knows how long Crowder will be out.
I argued all offseason with some that said Moses would not be around come reg.season, some saying he would get cut....Those folks didn't look at the tape close enough.,,This is a homebred project true Miami Dolphin that we have spent a lot of time teaching...he's a Great backup. and Ive seen him flash serious potential, still very young. I'am good with seeing his playing time increase, he has the ability to step up, more athletic in space than people realize , his game has been ascending since his arrival here, he's gotten bigger and stronger every year, and he started out with a lot of raw talent..also had a nice little game in buffalo...very strong setting the edge, and is getting better on his rush skillset.
The Jets only offered Adalius Thomas a vet minimum contract, if the phins pony up more than the Jets are willing, he's ours. (if he wants to play here, he could have just been trying to play the money game with the jets to get a better offer)
