Hmm, very interesting. Your thoughts?

Yeah, 'Nando claimed his sources told him Irish has been working the phone lines in both directions, trying to trade guys and trying to pick up a player(s).
To me, we could use a top notch kick returner, Roscoe Parrish, Logan etc. -
Here is the original article, alot of speculation by Armando.

We could look to deal a player that we don't have a roster spot for, but I don't expect anything that would knock our socks off. -
This is time of year when one man's trash is another man's treasure. I'm sure we're doing what we can to get something for guys that may not make the roster, and i wouldn't be shocked if we dealt a good player for the right deal. Our FO is savvy, and will make any deal that can benefit the team.

Imho we are not done trading with KC, they have needs, we have some decent players who we don't have spots for, we should make a deal along the lines of the Dallas Fasano/Ayodele trade last season.
Heck, they could wind up with 4 starters just from left overs on our roster.HULKFish and dolfan7171 like this. -
I still wonder if Tampa calls for Rodrique Wright. If they struggle applying pressure tonight or in the next week, I could see them calling. Get a quick guy off the line who also has some strength.

The FO drafted two guys more in the mold of what they want the WR position to look and play like, and there is a huge logjam at the position anyway.
If Ireland can get a 1st for Ginn, color him gone, I think.PSG and opfinistic like this. -

The value isn't there at the most they might get a 3rd rounder which means Ginn stays. -
At this time, I don't know which would be better: getting picks or players from a trade. I just know that something may happen soon.

That is the sort of returner we should be looking for Alen someone who can gain those extra few yds per attempt, his kick off return avg was an "okay" 27 yds per.
Smith was sort of the cat Ck mentioned (credit were credit is due)
The other cat we may be looking to pickup is Yamon Figurs, he is on the bubble up in Baltimore, is really fast, but had a down year last season.
He looks like a goner in BlT. -

Maybe even one of our TEs.
With that and the Parcells/Pioli connection I can see us doing something with them real soon.padre31 likes this. -

The one player I believe they have there eye on is David Tyree. he is a special teams demon and is on the bubble with the Giants.
If he can stay healthy he would be a big help special teams wise. -
Well, anyway this falls out, whether we are selling or buying, nothing is likely to happen until Monday, or until our trading partner plays their #3 preseason game and evaluate what they have to work with.
KC plays the Seahawks on the 29th, if they want we are offering we will know soon enough.
Giants also play that Saturday in the annual v Jets preseason game
Ravens also play this Saturday and cut down day is Monday September 1st..
In some ways playing tonight is a huge advantage for us, we will have our player evaluations completed 4 days before the cut down day hits, meaning if we are working a deal, we have the initiative as we already know who we will keep, and who will be cut, we sort of caught a break by playing our #3 game tonight. -
