The Dolphins have experimented with John Jerry playing right tackle, but it’s likely he’ll continue to serve as the starting right guard.
As for Carroll, a reserve cornerback who serves as the primary kick returner, his kickoff duties would likely go to Patrick Cobbs,w ho has averaged 20.3 yards on his 17 kickoff returns this season. Nate Ness could possibly fill in as the cornerback who comes on the field when Sean Smith moves to safety in the team’s nickel and dime package.
As for Dansby, Tim Dobbins will likely continue to serve as the inside linebacker paired with Channing Crowder. Dobbins, who has started five games this season, struggled mightly in his coverage roles against the Lions, allowing two passing touchdowns.
