    DOLPHINS NOT INTERESTED IN HORN
Posted by Tom Mantzouranis on August 21, 2008, 4:28 p.m.

A few days ago, it was divulged that while Joe Horn was contacting every team regarding a contract after being released by the Falcons, the Dolphins were one of his preferred destinations.

    The feeling is unrequited.

The team has told Ralph Vitolo, Horn’s agent, that they’re going to stick with who they have at the moment, which makes sense.

Though the team’s young group of receivers have looked quite shaky this training camp and preseason, the 36-year-old receiver doesn’t have much of a skillset anymore to help the on-field product improve. And he wouldn’t be added as a veteran presence to aid in the locker room, as Horn’s ego has driven him out of two cities, and was considered to have rubbed off on Donte’ Stallworth during his prime development when they were together in New Orleans. Simply put, Horn doesn’t fit into the Bill Parcells mode of player.

So the search for employment continues, with the Titans reportedly interested. Luckily, until he finds a new contract, Horn can enjoy the $2.5 million the Falcons foolishly guaranteed him last offseason.
