Even if true at least she cared enough to find something intelligent to say about the draft and how it relates to her team. Not too long ago if you asked the owner I'm sure you would have gotten a much different response.

She probably took that from the majority of mock drafts that have us taking Williams. It's nice that she at least did some kind of research to show that she is at least moderately interested in the Dolphins.

Her opinion should have ZERO impact on anybody, only people who should even have an opinion on our draft are Parcells and Ireland.

I'm just saying that I don't think people would have such a strong reaction if Buffett said the same thing. Yall are assuming she has no idea about the draft cause she's a woman.

I believe she's being honest: she's a minority owner of a football team who has access to Google. She can look up mock drafts, just like the rest of us. She probably read that we should take Dan Williams and the rationale made sense to her.

Isnt that what we all do? I don't break down game tape. Cut her some slack and stop being so sexist. I'm serious.

 

I really think it has more to do with the fact that she's a celebrity owner and not a football mind.

I honestly do not think it would be different if Buffet or Mark Anthony had made the comment.
If Buffet had made the comment, IMO, the thread would have been much more venemous rather than comical because there was MUCH more displeasure with Buffet coming on board than there was for JLo which I assume is based on music preference.

There aren't discriminatory motives hiding behind everything though some seem to think so.

Sure but lets be fair. Consider this...why do we afford people on this message board so much respect for their draft and football acumen, yet we aren't willing to believe that people who have actually invested money have at least as much if not more.
Is it really unreasonable to believe that someone who has invested a few million as a minority owner is also quite knowledgeable?

If Jimmy Buffett said he wanted Dan Williams, no one would question his authenticity (I'd make a joke about how Buffett sucks, and how the "Fins to the Left" song is an abortion, but that would be about it).
