We were 5-1 at that point... We finished 9-7... Not saying Henne is Lucus by any means, but i rather lose a QB if we are doing bad then if we were doing good...

Yeah. this year, getting to a .500 record, let alone the playoffs, with or without Penny, was going to be tough. at 0-3, with this schedule, we'll be lucky to sneak out 5 wins. Now with Penny gone, this seasons pretty much a wash (unless Henne lights it up) . Nothing to lose and all to gain putting Henne in now. 13 games will help make a determination which way we use our very high 1st rounder in 2010.

it's no different now with Thigpen ... Henne will be fine as our QB ... he is the first that i will go out on a limb and say he will be here for the next 10 years ...

People were crying for change....Lucas just happened to be the back up and we needed to see what he had in him so we would know if he, like Fielder, needed to get the boot.

Sorry but there's never a time where it's better to be 0-3, than 3-0.......ever

Exactly what I was thinking. Especially when you have a QB starting for the first time trying to get that first win.

Now that we are in a have to situation with Henne and we are 0-3 we need to really see what all of our rookies can do. The only way to effectively mark off needs is to see what the young players can do in real game situations.

I guess i get what youre trying to say but it still doesnt make that much sense. If we were 3-0 it would mean our team would have confidence and playing well....much better situation to put an inexperienced QB into than an 0-3 team.
