Hopefully they have a positive reaction to the pressure.

Glad to see everyone is getting a fair shot at this. Hopefully Beck wins this.

I'd like to see all 3 of our QB's do really well, don't really care which one wins, just that he's really good for us. And I want the others to play so well we don't have to worry about this position for a LONG time.

Everything sets up beautifully for beck to win this battle, he can easily take control of the offense with his leadership, and believe me, he is a natural born leader.

This kid is gonna showcase his talent, very talented thrower of the football.

I honestly am not rooting for one QB in perticular to win this job. I just want to see some decent QB play, that hasn't been in Miami since Marino was here.

:sidelol: The title of this thread def made me laugh my *** off. Saying a Miami QB feels pressure is like saying a pornstar feels.... well you get the idea.

I hope they are feeling the pressure. Because it certainly is on. These guys need to step it up. One of them needs to clear cut WIN the starting job... I hope they all play exceptionally well, but chances of that I'd say are slim. I just hope someone goes out there, works hard, plays smart and effectively and wins the job so he can help us win some games this year! Out of Beck and Henne, both second round picks. One of them better emerge as our starter, leader and franchise QB!

I think it's safe to say the entire roster is feeling pressure this time of the season. I mean no one's job is safe right now, new coach and new competitions are everywhere, and I like it.

It'll be interesting to see what transpires. I'm not rooting for any one QB in particular either. I just want "whomever gives us the best chance to win." Where have I heard those words before?

I agree, whoever shows the best presence and accuracy will get he nod. Whatever our finalized Oline ends up being seems like a huge improvement over last year and a running game will help build our young QB up. Another big plus would be that we could control the clock which we haven't done in years and keep our D off the field. Our D stayed on the field entirely too long last year because of our inept offense. I think overall I'm really interested to see who make up the Oline and what lineup our front 7 on D is, as those will be most crucial IMO.

I really like the way we're building o-line depth and I agree so far it does seem like a huge improvement over last year.

I agree. I am a fan of the team not a player. We have three young guys all who will have a chance to THE man. One to start, one to back him up, the other probably goes away, although we'll probably keep all three this year.

I agree with this. Its amazing, though, how many here are hoping for and propping up John Beck to win the job. IMO, it should just be that we want the best player to win and the best player to start.

I don't know about other teams so I can't know for sure, but it seems to me that Dolphins fans take an execeptional affection for their un-proven players. Hell, we even had one poster that was on the Dan Connor Is My Boy bandwagon before the draft.

Marino, Zach, JT...I understand. They have contributed alot to the Fins "success", or at least, paid dues. But John Beck, Davone Bess, Dan Connor? Combined they have done ZERO for the Fins. I'll never understand this.

One word. HOPE...that's what young players represent to a fan base decimated by failure.

I have hope as well. But I don't invest my hope in any one player. I don't care which of the young guards wins the battle for RG. I just want one to step up and play great. I don't care which young WR makes the team. I just want one to surprise us all and be outstanding. Same with the young RBs. But this, "I hope its Beck", IMO, goes far beyond hope.

I don't "hope" it's Beck; I believe it will be Beck. Hope is not a strategy. I've seen things in Beck that lead me to believe he'll be something special. I could be wrong. But that's what I believe, and I've defended my opinion many times on this board with solid analysis which I will not restate here for you, as I don't feel it would be appreciated. As for your opinion of the Beck/Henne/McCown battle for the starter's spot, comments like "Beck will be a serviceable starter at the very best" make it hard for us to believe you'll be giving Beck a fair handshake any time soon.

I don't have a low opinion of Henne, as I've seen nothing from him to date. But if he beats out Beck, then I'd love to support him, as I know he was the better of two special QBs. I just like the intangibles I've seen in Beck so far. He's the kind of player I'd like to see lead my Dolphins.

I just want the phins to have the best Qb possible. Personally I have a good feeling about Henne but it Beck lights up the scoreboards and leads the phins to victory i'll be the first one to go out and buy a Beck jersey. Turning the team around and winning some games is my only concern. I don't care who that leader is.

I don't think it's so much of people hoping for Beck to succeed, as it is people taking exception to the ridiculous claims that some, like you Suncoast, make concerning how good/bad Beck is, based on last year. I know that's what it is for me. When I read posts by people who are dogging Beck for last year, and talking about how bad he was, it makes me angry because there were so many things outside of Beck's control that contributed to how he played. Beck "supporters" in general are just people who are hoping that Beck can get a decent chance at success, since he has alot of the tools that could make him a good QB in this league...and to judge him based on last year would be ridiculously unfair.
