After cutting two players yesterday (Clutts and McCray), The Dolphins have re-signed Austin Spitler (he'll wear #45). The roster stands at 52... room for one more body. Signing Spitler may have something to do with the injury to Trusnick... and also looking to fill Clutts' special teams role.
Pull a Ricky Williams trade for Joe Thomas lol wish the browns would let him go for a first tho. Instantly improves and has atleast 6 years left at high level.
Jeff Ireland is in charge, you know the same guy who did nothing to replace Brandon Marshall last year and did nothing to replace Jake Long this year. It's the same old same old in Miami don't expect him to trade or to address the situation.
Sigh. He did try to address the situations you're talking about. He may not have been successful which may be cause for valid criticism....but its still not the same thing as doing nothing.
A lot of overreacting here. Long was replaced easily, and the line didn't allow a sack the whole first half in NO. I love Spitler. I could see him becoming a Ninkovich type of guy. At this point I'm more worried about the defense.
I do wonder if we have something up our sleeve. We certainly have cap room to receive a sign and trade player.
An okay special teams player, but he doesn't bring anything of measure to the base defense IMO. interesting that IIRC he worked out for the Pats in the last couple of weeks.
I missed his earlier report ... Mando is reporting that S Jordan Kovacs was promoted from the practice squad today
Would love to trade a 2nd for Tavon Austin now that Les Snead is likely realizing how wasteful it was to unfittingly pair Tavon with a dull vanilla Jeff Fisher offense that wants to get back to a power running game, which likely means more 2 TE sets and bigger bodied receivers. I remember all the talk about how St Louis was waiting till the regular season to showcase him, but they haven't showcased sh--. They've done less than sh--. Almost no screens, sweeps/end-arounds, or hiding him in bunch formations, nothing creative to get him touches in space, and they certainly can't run the read option with him with Bradford at QB like the Skins successfully did with Brandon Banks & RG3. He might as well be Davone Bess in that offense.
I love watching that offense fall flat on it's face after Evan Silva slobbed their knob and hated on us for all the moves that they made which we should have.
