Ok im not going to talk about the pathetic effort of the colts games however It made we go re-evaluate where we were going to end up this year and here is what I see happening for the remainder of the season. The way I see it were going to end up losing 5 of the last 8 games. Now miracles do happen but I don't think we have the talent to sustain a strong defense, and our offense isn't where it needs to be to score enough points.
While that isn't horrible considering were really rebuilding it is a bit a disappointment seeing that we had a shot at being a very good team this year if we just made those few plays we needed.
At the end of the day I have to say it's about what I expected before the season 7-9, 8-8 with some good experience for Tanny but we need to address defense, receiver and a true TE for next year.
Will you consider a 7-9 or 8-8 season a success this year?

If anyone says 7-9 or 8-8 is a failure after last season and off season' **** storm, then I have no idea what to say to them.

I'd guess we'll end 9-7 meaning one of the 3 games we've lost by 3 points would have put us in the playoffs. Typical Dolphins fandom. -
Eh, never know.
To me if we did not split with the Patsies we were not making the dance anyway. -
I think we end up 8-8. After todays game...any competent quaterback will pick us apart. But that is a success in my mind.

I think attempting to predict the outcome of NFL games is an exercise in futility. Two or three plays per game determine the outcome. Anything can happen.
If Tanny continues to protect the ball, I expect the Dolphins to be in every game in the 4th quarter. -
This is why I've been cautioning people against playoff talk. The Miami Dolphins are not a consistent enough football team to accurately predict their success or failures. We are at this point in time able to lose any game on our schedule. We can not say with any legitimate certainty that we're a better team than anyone left on our schedule. If you want proof look at the two Jets games so far this year.

I think we can sweep the Bills...we did it last year. 8-8 is most likely. Beating Seattle would be big, because then they could go 9-7 if they win the games they're supposed to. Forget the Patriots and 49ers, those are a lost barring a shocking win. Seattle is tricky and unpredictible, their offense could easily not show up, wouldn't be the first time this season they struggled to get points on the road. That is the big game...unless of course they lose to Buffalo or the Titans before that, which is the end of the playoff road.
Our secondary really holds us back from being a true playoff team, but they could still be a 9-7 "playoff team" (not like the 9-7 Giants last year, who were better than that record) in a weak year...not that it will matter since they would lose to Peyton or Brady or whichever top QB they face in round 1, but it would still be nice to watch one.
