    Well you said it yourself.

He was thrust into the position ill advised.

However relatively speaking considering who he was playing with. I think his first two years were not to bad..

I’m not sure how you’re coming to the “garbage” conclusion. His PR’s were about league average over his first 2 seasons. And as you said, I also think he should have never touched the field his first season and his HC set him up to fail. For him to be anywhere near close to average shows me a lot. And he was far from hot garbage. Do you want to see what the first 2 years of hot garbage at QB look like? Check out Josh Allen.

But dude, you guys discounted things like him throwing passes onto triple and worse coverage that a high school QB wouldn't make. I know we don't agree on this, I'm just saying, there were things outside of those types of stats, that I want pleased with.

I'm glad Tua is playing well.

Responding to the last few posts…

Tua first couple of years in the league was led by a head coach that didn’t believe in him, year 1 by an old washed OC which nearly ALL OF YOU ridiculed in Chan Gailey, then co-offensive coordinators that had ZERO experience coordinating offensive schemes for year 2.

Jesus guys, look beyond the surface. Tua indeed made chicken salad out of chicken sh!t and if you can’t admit to that, then your negativity towards Gailey and Studesville/what’s his name are erroneous. Can’t have this both ways fellows.

Tua IS Tua and we have McDaniel to thank for letting us see the REAL Tua the team had drafted.

I don't give two sh!ts what Tua did his first two years. I care about what he IS not what he WAS. He's undeniably a top 10 NFL QB and arguably higher. He's an MVP candidate who just came off one of the greatest seasons for a Dolphin QB ever. He got paid for a reason. If all you have to argue about is how he played as a rookie or his first year as a starter please go watch some highlights of Peyton Manning's rookie season and you'll see what a horror show really looks like. It ain't how you start it's how you finish.

I mean, rookies make rookie mistakes, and we can cherry pick a few throws to make even Tom Brady look like he sucked. I’m talking about the “straight garbage” talk and his overall performances over his first two seasons. He was objectively not any worse than about average with better flashes.

As u all know I am no Tua fan but in sayig that with new additions,Beckham,Smith,Wright we might be the best skilled.postions in the league
I think with all these weapons Tua can lead this team to first playoff win and possibly SB!.
I think Mosert as good as he was will.lose starting job to Wright and we will have a scary 1-2 punch of Wright and Achane.
I think Tua is.perfect for this offence as.lomg as we.are playing in South flordia in playoffs.
In cold weather he needs to.prove it.

Like you, I think we have the best TEAM when it comes to all of the skills positions. So we have the BEST at each position? No but we do have some of the very best. That part of our team, offensively doesn’t concern me.

What concerns me is the base of our offense and like the base of a house being a solid foundation, our “foundation” has been a suspect offensive line.

If Tua is having to pull the trigger in under 2 seconds again this season…if we abandon our running game that has explosive play making abilities, if Tua can sit back for 3 and 4 seconds to comfortably allow plays to develop downfield, it’s going to be difficult down the stretch again.

And once again, we’ll be having the wrong debate next off-season.

I think it’s going to be whether or not injuries sink this team again. Butch was able to field a good o-line last year before 4/5 of the starters and their back-ups all got injured. Some expected (Armstead) and others not so much. And those others are what really killed them.
