Source: Dolphins have reached agreement with tight end Anthony Fasano, who is coming back to Miami where he played 5 seasons. Solid pickup.

Great pick up as far as fitting a need. We'll see what we paid, but he is one of the bet run blocking tight ends in the league, which is exactly what we needed.

Initially I wasn't a huge fan of the Fasano deal when I heard the news. Then I remembered we acquired Julius Thomas too. Fasano in that blocking TE role is nice at this point. Thomas, Fasano, Marquies Gray.. I like that unit for now.

One of the beat writers on twitter commented that Fasano was graded as the #1 TE blocking against the run last season. Sims was apparently 41st behind.... the newly acquired Julius Thomas. That's your main reason for Fasano coming back before anyone freaks out lol

Seriously - what a lousy run blocker Sims was based on that ranking.
