Seeing that we got absolutely nothing from our 2nd tight end position last year, It would be nice to see if the combination of Sims/Keller will be better than the completeness of Fasano.
I think Sims can be as complete as Fasano, especially since he's lost some weight, heck with that if he gains any speed he may be a bigger threat receiving than Fasano
In all fairness to our number 2 TE spot, Clay had 2 TD's which is as much as our 1 and 2 wide receiver combined. Wow that's really sad, at least that will change this year!
Sims has more potential than ability as a blocker right now. There are times when he is pretty impressive, but there are equal if not more times when he is looking bad. I think there's a pretty good chance he'll develop, but I don't know he's a replacement for Fasano right now.
Why does the title say Simms instead of Sims? People used to do that with Keith Sims too, and it drove me crazy. His name was on the back of his Dolphins jersey too since he'd been a player for a few years before these forums became popular. Sims. Plain as day. Yet some folks couldn't remember or didn't pay attention and called him Keith Simms. I hope it won't be the same with Dion Sims.
Dolphins have this guy listed at 262, interested to see how he is going to end up. I expect Will Davis and Dallas Thomas tomorrow, some teams already have their second round picks signed.
