    I hope it's a smoke screen ........

Could Percy Harvin still pop up on the Dolphins’ radar?

If we draft Percy Harvin I'll be damn happy, because that means that Jeff Ireland and Bill Parcells have signed off on him, and that doesn't happen easily, especially for WR's.

BP has been wrong before with picks... I'm hoping it's a smokescreen.

Everyone has been wrong with picks before, it's inevitable.

I don't mind Harvin, IF, and ONLY IF, it doesn't affect Ginn in any way shape or form.

If I had to choose, it is Ginn by a mile, and I don't like the way this FO is regarding him. I fear that getting Harvin will push Ginn off the team.

    Agreed.

Yeah, but I'm sure that Ireland and Parcells know that as well.

Just sayin', I think your first round pick has to be as near a lock as possible. No question marks. And, I don't think Harvin falls into the category.

    Just sayin...

I'm a sucker for potential and speed  I love Ginn, I like Harvin. All this said though, I don't think we should/will pick him, but if we do I'll be excited.

Look, if it wasn't for all the off the field stuff, I'd be inclined to agree with you. But, I just don't see how you can invest a first round pick in this kid. No matter how talented he might be. Too much baggage IMO. Although, I'm sure someone will. I just hope it ain't Miami. I'd much rather see them take Nicks instead.

    JMHO...

I'd be okay with it. They met with him 4 times. They know who they're getting. He's a true athlete out there and could do great things for our offense.

The only question is the character issues, but if they take them, i think we have to believe that Parcells and Co arent worried about it.

IF we select Harvin its to further develop the Wildcat which in theory would be a bigger part in our offense. Which leads me to believe if we draft Harvin Pat White could be a Dolphin.

We could also use Harvin on punts and kickoffs I think. Not sure if he did that in college, but he sure would be a sight more explosive than Bess.
