Quick question to the troops. Have we ever beaten this POS team? I just rewatched last years win w/ the QB walking in w/ 3 seconds on the clock. I honestly cant remember ever beating this team...thats sad because they suck. Please someone tell me I'm wrong.

Larryfinfan 17-0...Priceless Club Member
They've beaten us up, no doubt, but if close counts, every game has been down to the wire with the outcome in doubt well into the 4th qtr....
On the other hand, that's not very comforting is it ?? -
I still remember the first loss. I think it was capped off by Jabar Gaffney taking some slant rout for an 80 yard TD or something crazy like that. At least I think that was the first loss. Hoping to hell we can finally beat this team this year. But it won't be an easy win, that's for sure.

0-4 but that ENDS this season!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this season will be the first time in the last three games we will be playing them in Miami and not Reliant Stadium.

"Hey Wayne
Dump Dave!" -
THe worst part is they have actually been drafting well and getting better. They will be no easy task again this year.

nope and they've all been close contests, sigh if only Yeremiah had gone for the tackle.

One of the losses Ricky took a 60 some yarder to the house and it was called back by the most BS holding call Ive ever seen. Then Jay threw one of the worst picks Ive ever seen...

If im not way off i think we are the only team in the league never to have beaten the Texans. I could be wrong though.

In 02, David Carr was sacked 1,456 times, in the opener, he only took a 3 step drop most of the time and we never got even close to touching him.
-
Interesting note..We play the Texans, who we've never beaten. We also play the Panthers who have never beaten us.

A good friend of mine is a die-hard Texans fan. He laughs everytime our game is coming up.
Its the ONLY week out of the season he laughs. :pity: -

I had a 70 year old drunk texans fan behind me that I wanted to throttle, he never shut up.. it was nearly as bad as losing to the jests.. and that's saying a lot coming from me. He actually slapped me on the back after an int.. I told him I would pull his GD arm out of it's socket if he touched me again.. the wifey was freaking out

They're one of the best drafting teams in the league, maybe the best. It has yet to all click however, but it might this year.

So...versus the "Houston Texans" we're 0-4 Regular Season and 1-0 Preseason. Only one of the 5 games was in Miami, and that was the 2003 Opener loss.
Versus Teams IN Houston we were 4-5 Versus the Oilers and 0-3 versus the Texans...4-8 overall in Houston in the regular season.
Versus Houston teams in Miami 5-2 Regular Season vs the Oilers, 0-1 vs the Oilers in the Playoffs, and 0-1 versus the Texans in the regular season. For a record of 5-4.
Against Tennessee (the old Oilers) we've done better going 5-2 overall since the move.

What does this mean? nothing really other than we aren't so good against Houston teams in general for whatever reason.
Just wanted to see if it was a "Texas thing" so here's what we look like against the Cowboys over the years:
Sep 16, 2007: DAL 37 @ MIA 20 L
Nov 27, 2003: MIA 40 @ DAL 21 W
Nov 25, 1999: MIA 0 @ DAL 20 L
Oct 27. 1996: DAL 29 @ MIA 10 L
Nov 25, 1993: MIA 16 @ DAL 14 W
Nov 19, 1989: MIA 17 @ DAL 14 W
Nov 22, 1985: MIA 20 @ DAL 14 W
Dec 17, 1984: DAL 21 @ MIA 28 W
Oct 25, 1981: MIA 27 @ DAL 28 L
Nov 05, 1978: DAL 16 @ MIA 23 W
Nov 22, 1973: MIA 14 @ DAL 7 W
Jan 16, 1971: DAL 24 @ MIA 3 L (SuperBowl)
mmm....7-5 against the Cowpokes overall, but they've won 3 of the last 4 during our downtime. I wouldn't attribute it to a Texas thing.
EDIT: Noticed that during the Shula-Landry years that Shula came out on top more often.
