For a bit, let's just look at the lockout, and how it affects our team. When it happens, no coaches can even talk to players, no team practice, no signing FA's, and no signing draft picks.

Nolan cannot do anything with our young guys to add in things he would have done after seeing what they can do last season. Because of our youth, this affects us more than vet teams who have had their coaches and core players together for years. I believe we can overcome that.

DaBoll can do nothing with Henne or any other player. This hurts, new OC, young QB and receivers needing that camp time to click, and adapt to changes. A second TE is starting from scratch.

On the OL, we have a puzzle, and will have no time to fit them together to play as one, regardless of if we sign two Pro Bowlers.

RB is not a problem, and need no time to just run.

This creates more problems than other teams. Can we overcome them is the question.

If it drags on I'll be worried about Daboll having the time to integrate his offense. Not only do the players have to learn the terminology and concepts, the OC has to learn the players and how best to use them. Not something that happens overnight, especially since we'll be adding several new OL and skill guys, maybe a new QB. We need a New CBA more than anyone in the division IMO.
