Played out of position with the Jets, imo. Hope they resign him at a cheaper rate, could use him....

Well, there's an easy 10 mil in cap space. More soon to follow, I'm sure.

    no its not.

The net is going to be much less after you factor we are 5.7 over the cap and now you have to replace these guys. Wouldn't surprise me if we are at a break even.

with those cuts we are now 4.1 under the est cap

plus if guesses are correct, there will be another 10 million dollar increase to the cap.

No sir. The cap according to CBS in 2015 was 143.28 and projected to be 153.4 in 2016 - we are over the 2016 number

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...-cap-could-reach-1534m-in-2016-up-from-14328m

overthecap.com is projecting the cap to be 159m - without Couples we would be 3m under and now need to replace him

We can get to 35m realistically. However that will require restructuring SUH(18m) and Tannehill(6.8) which will make both untradeable for the near future.

damn didnt know we were already over the 2016 number. i still think we will be fine, its not like replacing coples will be all that costly. the cap is a very flexible thing as long as the players are, i think wake/suh/tanny will be fine with restructures.

I would try and bring Coples back at a more reasonable price. I don't think anyone was going to pay him what he was scheduled to make next year. The thing is, I fear that pass rush could be a big problem next year with Vernon potentially hitting free agency and Wake coming off of an injury/being cut.
