Per The Sun Sentinel: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...eral-other-nfl-teams-20130312,0,6168668.story Former West Virginia receiver Tavon Austin will meet with the Dolphins (and several other teams) later this week. Just kicking the tyres (tires?) or do you think there is genuine interest here? I know there were reports of Ireland watching several Mountaineers games...
I'd be stoked with a Tavon Austin in Miami come April. I think we should take him with our first rounder and I know that sounds crazy but I think he's going to be really good and our offense would be pretty scary looking. Wallace, Hartline, Bess, Austin, Matthews...Thats every skill in the game with those four. Wallace is pure speed with great hands, Hartline as a possession reciever, Bess in the slot, Austin as a playmaker that can be used in a lot of different ways. I am a realist though and if there is an insanely better player available at that spot (Milliner, Jarvis Jones) I am taking that guy over Austin and looking at Stedman Bailey, Robert Woods, and Justin Hunter in the 2/3 rounds. The Wallace signing gives us some flexibility in this draft but it would not surprise me at all if the team ends up feeling that Tavon Austin is in fact the best player available at 12. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing but I would obviously hope for the afore mentioned "good thing". Of course....We all know that we are going to draft an offensive lineman. Tannehill still needs protection.
