The NFL network just did the top 10 plays of the decade. Of course they listed 2 Bret Favre plays (The Freeman tip to himself was probably deserving) but I digress….
I got to thinking that it would be cool to try to list the Fins top ten plays of the decade. My contribution to the list is going to be the Greg Camarillo catch in OT vs. the Ravens. We only need nine more.

I would say that catch Hartline had against Tennessee was incredible.
Was it Camarillo that was laying on the ground and he caught it off his leg a year two ago ? -
Marino 4th and 5 against Bledsoe opening game in Miami 1994. BEST PLAY EVER!!!

Here is the Hartline catch from last week, sorry video is horrible but this is the best I could find on youtube.

I know have nothing good to say about Ginn but his two kick returns for over 100 yards each in one game should be considered. -
lamar smith tdrun in overtime in 2000 against the colts in the wild card game
amazing run
jay fiedler td dive against the raiders to win the game in 2001
that is my second choiceFinSane, felly smarts, 54Fins and 1 other person like this. -

It was a loss ironically to the Texans, but Chambers catch with one hand in the back of the endzone THEN keeps his feet inbounds? That was WOW!
Ginns second return to beat the Jets this year.
Derruis Thompson catch to beat the Pats in 04?
Fiedler diving into the endzone after 9/11 to beat the Raiders was very special IMO.CashInFist likes this. -
Ricky Williams' 53 yard TD run against the Jets in 02'. Erased all doubts of his breakaway ability. Darrius Thompson's TD against the Pats in 04' is another.

Ronnie Brown's run against Cleveland where he broke like 7 tackles to get the first.
Or Ted Ginn's TD catch against Seattle. That was like the catch of the decade.Fin-Omenal likes this. -
Lamar's TD run in OT against the Colts gets my vote for play of the decade, especially since it was the last playoff game we won.
Another one to add to the list would be Gadsden's catch against the Jets (the one-handed snag over the middle). Another Gadsden catch would be the tipped ball catch against Denver in 02 that set up Mare's game-winner at the gun.Fin-Omenal likes this. -

- Lamar Smith TD run against Colts in WildCard round 2001 playoffs
- Jay Fiedler TD run against Raiders after 9/11/2001
- Derrius Thompson against NE in 2004
- Ronnie's long run in the debut of the Wildcat against NE 2008.
- Ginn's 2nd kick return against Jets 2009
- Merling's INT return for TD against Favre and Jets 2008
- Ricky's Long TD run against the Jets in 2002
- Ronnie's TD pass to Fasano against NE in debut of Wildcat
- Henne to Ginn 2009 1st Jet game
- 2001 Opening night against Titans Zach return for TD.
- Camarillo game winner against Ravens 2007 giving Miami only win.
Damn!! That was way too hard. I may have missed some and there may be some that are better than what I listed, but I tried to emphasize the plays that actually helped this team in years that we were competitive and helped make the playoffs. -
I'm with Killer - the Lamar Smith run was awesome. My contribution wouldn't be a play in as much as the Denver game in 2002, but Mare hitting that 53 yard field goal with six seconds left to win the game 24-22 was unbelieveable. Best Dolphins game I've ever seen.
-
the only thing wrong with that play is that Pennington shouldn't have thrown it to him as camarillo was wide open on the other side of the field.
I would nominate Brendon Ayenbadejo's INT against brady in the orange unis. Taylor won the game with the pressure and Ayenbadejo was in the right place at the right time. Jim Bates only true shining moment as a HC.adamprez2003 and Anonymous like this. -
fiedler broke his thumb that night right
mare kicked that 53 yarder in the snow if i remember correctly -

I know it feels like awhile ago but camarillos catch was actually this year in the first game of the season against Atlanta.mroz likes this. -
how about the flea flickers from pennington last season? there was 1 or 2 to cobbs, and one to ginn who caught it in the end zone with 2 or 3 guys on him.
and i say number one would be ronnie's wild cat, debut against new england. running it in 4 times and then throwing for a TD. i know its one play per slot, but that was a once in a lifetime performance. -

I have that Denver game on DVD. I watched it a couple weeks ago. That was one of the best games I've ever seen. Mare's 53 yard FG FTW deserves to be on this list

David Tyree's catch against New England in the Superbowl is probably the greatest play of the decade (or one of them).
If that same play/catch is made in the middle of the regular season and the Giants are a 1-9 team playing the Detroit Lions, then nobody even remembers the play. It's forgotten and overlooked.
So you're absolutely wrong when saying that the circumstances don't make a play any more special, especially in regards to these types of lists made by NFL network.. It's why most of these lists will have plays by playoff teams.
And if we go by your system, then Camarillo's catch against Baltimore shouldn't even be on there because the play itself was just a simple slant that he caught and ran for a TD. That catch itself pales in comparison to Hartline's catch this past week. But Hartline's catch will forever be forgotten because we LOST and Camarillo's will forever be remembered because it helped us stay out of the record books.eric likes this. -

Feeley to Thompson: A fourth-down lob pass from the 22 with the Pats blitzing. You can officially say that the Pats don't deserve to win this game. And yet there's 1:23 remaining on the clock ...
We win ! 22-21
Next would be Cams catch against the Ravens..... -
Fiedler head first into endzone with .14 on the board for the win. Our D held Rice and Jett to less than 50 combined receiving yards. -
-
1st 2 from Dolphins-Colts game.
Last one from Raiders game after 9/11.

Ronnie Brown abslutely knocking the hell out of a Raiders safety as he scored a TD on 07.
Zach Thomas single handedly stoping Denver from scoring in our opener in 06(Saban's first year)
Jay's Diving TD in the last few seconds.
Camarillo saving getting us one measly win.
OG's one handed grab
The one play Feeley and DT ever made. -
Kind of partial to this guy. Hard to pick just one
If I had to though I'd take him running over the guy from the Raiders

hate to say it
but it has to be Camarillo's catch @ Ravens
saved us an assload of embarrassment for a generation. imagine our rivals having that as leverage when talking trash against us.
but as a runner up, id pick the Fiedler run for a TD after 9/11. that was such an inspiring performance after that nightmare of a week, it made me cry.
