I'm not saying we should have kept Marshall. My point is that saying rookie players or guys who have nowhere near the talent level he does are better receivers is ridiculous.

The Welker thing is whatever...I've never been a fan of his game even when he was here. I'll take Bess over him every day and four times on Sunday. The reason no-one will agree is that we've never seen Bess in a legitimate offensive system. I know my opinion on this is probably in the less than ten percent, but I'd rather voice an opinion I feel is right rather than popular.

Well, my take is this, I don't mind Welker being on the patriots simply because he will catch a lot of passes but he is not a threat to score anywhere on the field.

I'd far prefer Brady feeding Welker 100 plus passes then to have them going to say Justin Blackmon

As for unproven guys, have to agree, Wr's typically have a slow learning curve unless they are elite when drafted (Megatron, Green etc) to say a UDFA or 6th rd pick can reasonably be expected to replace a pro bowl level of production is optimism overcoming reality. Not saying they cannot do well as rookies, but 100 catches and 1200 yds and 5 Td's is a bit much to expect.

Not like Gronk and Hernandez weren't enough.

There is nothing ridiculous about it, I would take Justin Blackmon and Mike Floyd over your guy, just because their rookies doesn't mean you cant have a conviction on how they project..

The talent intricacies that Wes Welker possesses are hard to quantify, but I can see them very clearly, he's a very talented receiver..There is speed in his intelligence that when he's in route, allows him to adjust his talent from the waist down, the combination will get him open every time..he's unique.

Blackmon and Floyd are every bit as talented as Receivers as Marshall.

Watching Lamar Miller highlights is a lot of fun. I am excited that he is a Miami Dolphin.

ok Alex, you would take Marshall over Blackmon and Floyd, I wouldn't, I would drop Marshall like a bad habit for those two, knowing what I know about Marshall and his game, it's a an easy decision, not sure why your getting all worked up about..

What other receivers would you take Marshall over on that list, like to see your reasoning?

It seems to me like he has an amazing ability to stay on his feet keep running. I'd be curious to see what his yards after first contact would be.

Having never laid eyes on Lamar Miller, after reviewing a few highlight vids on youtube, he reminds me somewhat of Thurman Thomas in his running style.
