Although the Dolphins added three veteran receivers, they believe they need more quality there behind Ted Ginn Jr., Ernest Wilford and erratic Derek Hagan. That is why they have invited several draft prospects to Davie -- including Houston's Donnie Avery (a potential second- or third-rounder), North Carolina State's John Dunlap and Brown's Paul Raymond -- and asked for more tape of Appalachian State's speedy Dexter Jackson.

Our WRs are like our DBs...we could get by with them for another year before we will have to upgrade, but it would be nice to get someone in the draft or UDFA that steps up to the scale and lets himself get weighed in...

This may also be why we keep hearing rumors of Keyshawn Johnson coming out of retirement to play for us ... not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing, but that would explain why the rumor comes up so persistently.
I'm still on the Jordy Nelson bandwagon for our team. If we're going to draft a WR, he's the guy I'd like to see us target. Here's his scouting report, from NFL Draft Countdown: http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/jordynelson.htmlgafinfan likes this. -

Ginn has improved much, which is great news - he was drafted to be a #1 receiver and also to stretch the field. His improvements in route running will make him even more dangerous as teams will not only have to worry about his ability to take it all the way but also have to account for him changing directions and getting open in space underneath. That's an easy 20 yards with the safety back deep to try to eliminate the deep threat.
Wilford is a big guy, and he's a great blocker. He's quite good in the red zone and he's not afraid to use his size advantage to win battles in tight spaces. He's not the fastest guy out there though, and while he represents a good possession receiver he's certainly not the best option on that side of the field.
Hagan still hasn't done much worth mentioning. He hasn't rid himself of the dropsies he showed off at the Senior Bowl prior to his rookie season. Sure, he had a great college career, but he just can't seem to step up in the pros. He is the guy that caught Beck's first pro TD, but that's his only shining moment in two years. This is his make or break year.
Outside of that, we've got nothing. Tab Perry? Kircus? Camarillo? While I love Camarillo for having caught the winning TD in the Ravens game last year, the question marks about the amount of talent he has to stick in the NFL are still there. He'll have training camp and the preseason to prove himself. Of all of the other receivers on the roster currently, I'd like for him to make it the most, but I'm being realistic.
So we've got one lock overall in Ginn, and a whole lot of question marks with all of the other bodies. Optimism has to take a backseat to realism right now - but I'm not as worried with the personnel we have as it stands. With our focus switching to the run game to set up the pass as opposed to our somewhat aimless offenses of the past two years I think the 15-20 yard pass will become our primary weapon in the pass game, and we've got the personnel to handle that.
We'll just have to see what happens. -

I totally agree with you dude Ted Ginn Jr is going to do good this year and he was good last year to he has really improved from what I have heard and Ernest Wilford is going to be good for us.:hi5:DOLFANMIKE likes this. -

While C Chambers made some great catches here in Miami,, inconsistency followed him all the 7 years he was on this roster.. And Chambers has been the best wr this team has fielded since the marks brothers!
Hopefully this will be a start of some kind of offensive stability where this team can grow and build into offensive power house,, at least an offense that can give the defense time to catch their breath before the opponents next offensive series.

I think we have to many other pressers in the draft but with the 3rd if we address defensive 7, o line and def CB I guess we can get a decent WR with that pick
