Illinois' Vontae Davis, who was given a private workout by the Dolphins, is the only top shelf cornerback that has the size, speed and strength ratio the Dolphins like. I'm told by a scouting friend of mine he'd be a layup for the Dolphins at pick No. 25 IF Davis didn't have character issues - he's labeled a Prima donna - serving as a red flag. That's something the Dolphins clearly need to investigate to see if Davis has the Dolphins makeup.

That's a red flag I'd probably overlook if he fell to 25...I don't think he will...

I've seen this guy play several times...and I just don't see anything "first round" about him...alot of hype but not much in substance. I can't shake the vision in my head of my Missouri Tigers shredding him earlier in the year...and it wasn't just Maclin...many of the Tigers WR corps abused him over and over.
