That "horrible logo" earned us three straight Super Bowl appearances, 2 championships included the ONLY undefeated team in NFL history.
You KNOW you can't argue that! :wink2:

Please please throwbacks with the new logo!!!
I really really like that look too. I've got a throwback Csonka jersey that's my favorite. Get lots of great compliments when I wear it. But that's just cuz I'm a pretty man :cool0:

The old logo is like old guys who like the 8bit Mario better than 3D Mario. They still put the 8Bit stuff in the new game, but just for nostalgia and short bursts - like the throwback jerseys twice a year.
What language is this? Can I get an interpreter please???

Maybe i don't follow other teams closely but have other teams changed their logos as much as the fins? It seams they have changed the logo and color scheme a bit more over the last 20 years than another team i can think of.
That's because ESD here thinks their design is the perfect improvement and wants to "SPOUT" about it!
We are real sailormen, the destroyermen of the fleet.
We can follow the tracks and ride the backs of the dolphins.
We will be where the action is in every situation.
When things are getting too rough for anyone else,
they're getting just right for us!

If the Dolphin has a hemet it will be stupid.
If they use the same busted Dolphin from the original days, it will be stupid.
If they use Ford Explorer Hunter Green like JJ's years, it will be stupid.
They should use the last dolphin, without a helmet and our original colors.

the throwbacks are an objectively better looking uniform
not sure why people would be against going back to a classic look

No they aren't.

The new uniforms are objectively better looking, not sure why anyone would want to go back to the outdated look.
Don't throw to Venus on a Spider-3 Y-Banana

The new uniforms look like they are part of the Mothercare range for tots aged 3 - 7. It's such a gay hue of turquoise, not at all appropriate for the NFL.
Give me the old shade of aqua any day.

The current aqua is extremely close to the original aqua. You must be talking about the 90's era hunter green.

In fact, lets go ahead and nip this in the bud right now.
If your argument is that you prefer the original colors to the current colors, then your argument is not valid, here's why:
As you can see the current colors are extremely close to the original ones and virtually identical to the second wave. They purposely brought back the older aqua and orange.
The new one still reminds me of a generic shower curtain design at some tacky beachside motel.

Nice one. Thanks for the explanation and the graphics showing the difference in the shades down the years. Very interesting.
I didn't say 'original aqua' I said 'old aqua' but that's by the by. My actual preference, going on the colour chart, is the darker shade of 89-96, which is hardly surprising I guess, because that was being used when I first started following the Dolphins in 90/91. I'm also ok with the one you describe as 'Hunter Green' (97-12). I always thought those uniforms looked great under lights.
Of all the shades there, I think 2013 is the worst. Yes, it is close to the original colour as you say but it is sufficiently different for me to consider it as inferior. While I'm here, I'll nail my colours to the mast regarding the logo too. My preference is 1997-2012 followed by the previous two. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea (or 'joe' over your way) but for me, 97-12 is iconic and instantly recognisable, much more so than the current one in my opinion.

great work but i don't get how once the colors are transferred to jerseys they don't look as close as the chart show.

Light and surrounding colors change everything. In the following image, A & B are the exact same color.

The dolphin with the helmet does look pretty ridiculous. I like the old unis though. How about a mishmash of the two?
I think this would look pretty good and be a nice compromise to both sides of the debate. I'd love to see it, if there is anyone with some photoshop skills who could mock it up. It would be interesting to see it in both the current color scheme they use for the throw backs as well as a lighter one similar to the current colors or the second generation colors.
Love Key fins idea of no Helmet, I would like them to use the orange jerseys again as well.
The all orange uni's where legit.

I can't take anyone seriously who thinks the all orange uniforms are acceptable.

I agree with the all orange being hideous but the coral jerseys and white pants, I did like that uniform.

I was really liking the 'new' home shirt on Albert Wilson until I saw this....
