If the thing about Grigsby is true, it's a new record for shortest Fan Club tenure on the team.

That's funny because every sports update on local radio says Thomas was wearing a boot today but HE said he was expecting to practice on Wednesday, which is the next team practice.

Good point. Considering thomas finished the game on the ankle and said he expects to practice wednesday, I doubt the legitimacy of the report.

 

Yup, never saw him limping, slow to get up, or come out for a play either. I would challenge anyone to find the spot in the game where he sprained the ankle. We all saw Carey go down and have to leave for one play. But for Donald there was never a clue he sprained it that I could see.

Tony did not even mention his injury in the presser. I listened to someone today (Kim Bokamper?) who said he was in a boot as a precaution and would be practicing Wednesday.

None of the local hacks have mentioned ANYTHING about this (other then picking up on the rumour) and I don't think we'd be ****ing around with fullbacks today if we had lost our starting guard for the season.

Donald said yesterday that it was a simple twisted ankle. Didn't affect him much on the field. Played right through it. The boot was just to play it safe. Looks worse than it is. He also said no MRI would be done.

Scout.com is a major sports outlet. They run fan sites from College to the NFL in most sports. They run a huge drafting and scouting service. The NFL channel has a news segment with them. I pay for their service and they tend to be correct most of the time.

I was sorta hoping we'd look at this guy regardless of Thomas's injury. I remember him at Alabama at left guard, he and LT Wesley Britt formed a pretty good tandem in the run game. I recall, his combine performance was pretty good also.

 

When asked about the scout.com report Thomas said that was, "definitely an exaggeration,'' and he was having it evaluated today.

Scout.com is indeed a reputable organization. Absolutely.

They simply got this one wrong. Hey, it happens to all of them. Nobody's perfect. And in the process they scooped everybody on both the Evans an Cramer news.

As for the signing of Evans, I think that points more towards Thomas not playing this week (or perhaps longer), but not being out of the season. Then again, we still need to see who the Phins are going to cut to make room for Evans.

Just know that the Dolphins still haven't announced the terms of the Jason Taylor trade. :lol:

IR is Injured Reserve. He's done for the 2008 season. Really sad because he had so much promise for this season. Its a huge blow considering the lack of depth and inexperience along the offensive line. Not good.
