I don't think anyone here has. we know the potential of Drake and Parker and if these guys can develop into their potential, we are going to be deadly

 

Drake's strength to me would be out of the backfield, catching the ball

 

Might help with wear and tear too, because he tends to get dinged up doesn't he? He's very exciting though, especially after that run near the goal line last year where one defender had him by the leg while he stiff armed another to the ground, then ran to his right to get the TD, and the "No! No! Go! Go!" 45 yard TD against the Bills.

 

I'm a bit surprised we didn't get him a bit more involved last year. I'm not sure what the reason was for that. I thought he would be used a bit more than he was. Although, with the emergence of Ajayi, and their apparent love for D.Williams, combined with the incompetence of our offense at times last year, maybe they just never got the opportunity. Not sure if maybe I'm forgetting something else that went down with him last year that limited him. That return TD was a beauty though. I like what he brings to the table as a player though, so hopefully we see more of him this year.

 

I agree with a lot of the sentiment here. I love Drake on passing downs. As much as I love Ajayi, I cringe every time they throw him the ball. I am just waiting for a bobbled pass to turn into a pick-6. He has been pretty decent as a RB too. I really think there are times in which he should be on the field over the J-Train.

I know there are coaches saying that Ajayi has vastly improved his catching, but I will believe that when I see it.

 

Ajayi made a lot of big plays at Boise State in the passing game though with screens and stuff IIRC. I've not had/seen much of an issue with his hands, my concern with him on some passing plays is someone taking a shot at those fragile knees of his while he's trying to haul in a pass out of the backfield or in the flats or something.

 

Drake's injury history still worries me, and Williams balled out last year, he scored 6 TDs on O, I'm glad we have both.

 

There were some pretty strong signs that the coaches were upset with him for one reason or another at a few points. He barely saw the field in some games. I don't know the details.

That being said, I also love his potential, and would love for him to make both D. Williams and Grant expendable by taking their jobs.

 

I like his potential, I wouldn't have drafted him personally but I do like his potential as a returner and Sproles like abilities, lets hope the injuries are a thing of the past, cuz he's got some electric in him.

Williams had a strong year and I think he can still get better, he's still the best physical specimen we have at RB, he had a break out year for a back up, 58 touches and 6 TDs, 3 rushing and 3 receiving, and some big plays, that dude can fly at 225 lbs.

I think Williams is a slow learner, but I think he's starting to put it all together.

Jayjay, Williams and Drake is a pretty damn good backfield, Drake needs to get better blocking to see more time but I expect him to be better this year.

 

Also, I wouldn't sleep on that UDFA from Michigan. I predict he'll be on an NFL roster in 2017.

 

Yeah, I'm kinda potential'ed out. That's going on the list of words I don't want to hear or read anymore. But I agree Drake has a lot of "untapped ability". He'd get more chances if he didn't have the balls bounce off him. Hopefully he can get that under wraps.
