That niner performance was a very nice display of no mercy, for four quarters..That's how you beat down an opponent, as a winning team..
So Bad Boyz..lets see if you truly are..
Stay juiced, stay angry, train harder, and remember your in 2nd place, and you ain't won sh&$ yet..
No mercy.

He said he is always asking him how did you do that? when Wake makes an impactful play , he is in his ear .... so this off season you may get your wish DJ , we may have a grasshopper growing up . That would be a HUGE positive , similar bodies and OV just turned 22 ... lots ahead for a motivated player.the 23rd, xphinfanx, Bpk and 1 other person like this. -

You think that beat down you saw last nite was just smart and confident in play..it looked to me like a bit of anger.?
I relate it to this, we were angry this offseason when people were talkin and mockin..Why let our players forget it.. -

I mean how can this edge be engrained in the mindset of a player, I'm just not sure if supreme confidence translates into a no mercy mentality where you wanna punish people in the fourth quarter when the game is already over. -
So what you're saying is we should be trying to drive the opposing team's best player headfirst into the dirt at every opportunity?
I'm half kidding. I thought that was being a little too physical at points last night, but part of that is on Fitz too, -

“When you’re playing against another team and they’re running their mouth, you’re going to go out and play harder. That’s part of the game,’’ said Miami center Mike Pouncey. “It feels good. We said during the week, if people are going to talk, we’re going to go out there and just play harder.’’

Just like they could have been told not to play angry and it cost them the game.....
Certain positions are good to have some anger behind them. Playing smart and confident are good but there is a lot more to it than that -

Take the example of Marines. From all the Marines I've been around, they all tell me that anger is before they start the prep for a patrol. In prep and on patrol, it's all business. From what I've been told, its all about focus, control, and relying on training and preparation. Marines got killed when someone got a hot head and let their emotions take control. Being emotional caused small mistakes and lapses in judgement. Playing confident and prepared leads to success. Anger may help sometimes, but its a double edged sword that can also hurt.Pandarilla and Fin D like this. -

I don't think matching intensity or physicality will be a problem with this roster. I'm just loving the smarts and concentration that's going with their tenacity...(sploosh!)
