I've had some many people tell me today that "What a great game, or you guys did well, or at least it wasn't a blowout."

We still lost, so STFU. I can't remember the last time we lost and I believed it was a great game. Phuc that

I've heard that so many times over the years, that I'm tired of hearing that crap. A lost is a lost, nothing good about that.

we had AMAZING games against the colts and saints last season.
both in our house and both were winnable. if not for ginn's hands and the refs desire to have the saints win.

I'd rather hear that than have all my Jet fan "friends" and coworkers being classy as normal.

Unfortunately, this is "old school" thinking. People are going to call this "reactionary", "flying off the handle", "sky is falling" "doom-gloom", and all kinds of other "justification" nonsense.

A loss is a loss. We lost. Nothing good about it. Nothing. Thanks for being the only other person here in the real world.

lol, yes its a loss. But its the kind of loss that makes you say "alright. A lot of things went wrong in that game, and we still had a chance right at the end."

If the dolphins play like they did against the jets in every game, minus the absurd mistakes like JA falling down to give Braylon a free TD or the block punt, we're making the playoffs. There are no Jets fans who watched that game and left thinking "yeah, we're definitely the better team." It was a hard fought game and Im proud of the team.

Now, if i were a coach and my players had that mentality, i'd make them run laps until they understood why they play the game. (i believe herm edwards once said you play. to win. the game.) But i think its perfectly reasonable for us FANS to not get all bent out of shape over what was far from a terrible outing by our team.

I do not agree. In the real world there are always positives in losing. Losing is a part of life and if a person or team cannot find the positives they are going to be doing a lot more losing.

There are positives and negatives in any situation. Just learn from them and move on.

Like we were down by 14 and came back to take a 17-14 lead:up:. That is a real positive. I will take, but we still lost:sad:

I missed the game because of baseball tournament (got home right before the 2 minute warning). I am glad I didn't watch it... I hate losing but I really hate losing to the Jets.

I said this all day yesterday. Fans were okay with the loss because Henne put up big numbers and were entertained by all the passing. That is a big load of garbage. There are no moral victories and every game is different. Just because we threw the ball well Sun night doesn't mean it will continue.
I hate the "we played well and just didn't get it done but we showed improvement" mentality.
We lost the fuggin' game is all that matters.
You don't get anything from a loss except an L in the loss column.
I think a lot of the fans care more about Henne and the WR's stats than they do about winning.

We're not in the real world but apparently you expected us to go 16-0 and can't see that we have great players in 2/3 facets of the game and only need to put it together in the same game now.

Hey,any way you want to slice it,dice it,or sugar coat it, WE LOST!! We lost our home opener in prime time to a hated division rival. No excuses! And,of course we werent going to go undefeated. But,this loss sucked.

You act like people are making it up that their are some positives that can be seen. Just because one may choose to only acknowledge the loss does not make you realistic, if anything it makes you obsessed and delusional.

I think we just disagree. To me losing is terrible. We lost-hence, it was a terrible outing. You think the Colts care that they played ok and there was bright spots in the Super Bowl loss to the Saints? If they do, they deserve to be the losers they were that night.

Coming close doesnt get it. We beat them twice last year with Henne, a first year starter and no Marshall and no Dansby...and they had Revis and Edwards.

The loss was inexcusable and I wont excuse it. You are def in the majority..most Fin fans are absolutely fine with it. I am just not like most...not at all, and I dont care to be.

I'm not fine with losing. I just don't see it as the end of the world, nor am I afraid of it. I also know that in wins their are negatives and in losses there are positives.

I know what you mean, that is stuff you say to your 8-10 yr old boy, but this is professional football, there is a huge difference.

If your team played the worst team in the league (not sure who that is these days) and struggled all day long and ended up squeeking out a win in OT, would you not say there was some negatives in the win? I would.

2 years ago the Jets beat Buffalo on an absurd play call by Dick Jauron in the final 2 minutes. The Jets had no business winning that game. Afterwards, while happy that we won, I was really upset on how poorly they played. I think it works both ways.
