Again I admitted Doughty played badly. However, if that had been Tannehill again, you would have blamed the line, the play calling, the receivers, the running game, the coach.................

You two are totally ridiculous with your bias against Tannehill. How anyone would ever take any of your arguments in this regard seriously is beyond me.

That pass could not be more perfect and it was a blatant drop, 99% of people watching it would say thus. The other 1% include you two.

I am officially out of this debate anymore.. Not that I care that much. My faith is in Gase making the right decisions. Why am I not shocked by Finster, 25 and Jdangs reaction.. Absolutely not shocked .. Agenda driven drivel.
Just to add.. Finster's comment that RT's performance was nothing to write home about caused me to spit out a perfectly good beer at lunch. My bad , not his.. I just should know better to take some on here seriously.

There's nothing open and honest about what you're doing. Every single issue that comes up, you take whatever side is most consistent with supporting Brandon Doughty over the competition. It's predictable and disingenuous. Nitpicking a night EVERYONE is complimenting Ryan Tannehill on because of throws that were perfectly on the money is a great example. You want Doughty to beat out Ryan Tannehill, so anything Tannehill does is never really going to be great, never really going to be evidence that he's the right QB for the team. Because you've already made up your mind that way and it is now evidently your mission to make up everyone else's mind too.

Personally I like Doughty quite a bit. I argue all the time he has a very high ceiling as a QB because of the qualities that I view to be intrinsic to that argument. But you have to be able to call a spade a spade. Just like it would be disingenuous to call into question Doughty's accuracy, it's just as disingenuous to sit here and pretend he's athletic (which you've done repeatedly by means of gymnastics that would make Simone Biles jealous). Just like it would be disingenuous to suggest that Doughty's arm strength disqualifies him from NFL play, it would be equally disingenuous to suggest he throws a better ball than Ryan Tannehill (which you've also done), and cite Doughty beating Cardale Jones in a distance throw as evidence (hint: he didn't). And just as it would be disingenuous to say that Ryan Tannehill had a perfect night Friday, it would be equally disingenuous to pick out two of his best throws on the evening and pretend they were flawed for some invented and wholly invalid reason.

It's alright, it's just one less person whose opinion I'll actually read when it comes to the QB position.

I thought I read that's what PFF just did :D (okay they said near perfect with no negative grade on any single play)

so no one can say anything negative at all bout Tannehill or they are biased???

I said the one throw was beautiful, but i felt it should have been a TD..... that makes me a Tannehill hater?

And i said the other one was thrown too hard, and that makes me a Tannehill hater,,,, gotcha! How exactly did the ball end up by his head if it was a perfect pass?

How exactly does me saying Brandon played bad = supporting Brandon? There is no logic in your statement at all.

I think what Tannehill did was the same thing he has done his entire career, some great throws and some not so great throws. If you want to believe every pass he throws is perfect, that is your right.

If Brandon was on the team or not, I would have made the same comments.

he did out throw him, you only read about it, which is how you come up with the majority of your comments. I actually watched it.

I never said Doughty is not athletic you did. I asked you to define that since you are an expert in everything you say. You can't do it because it is tough to define. You implied he is not athletic because he is not fast, which is just ridiculously simplistic.

And yes to me if a ball is deemed more catchable, then yes I deem the QB to be a better thrower. Catchable where the receiver does not need a bigger catch radius lol..

I was not aware of WR's practicing to catch balls at their ears. on that play i would assume they would practice catching it out front of their body where they should be led on a slant. But, if in your expert opinion slants should be thrown at their ears,,,,,,,

Seriously, had to drink to get passed some of these comments. If you really can't see past what you wrote and see any bias...conversation is over. Nobody is putting a ton of stock on that one performance. What a lot of people on here ARE putting stock into is your comical reaction to it. One beer at lunch makes me not credible?....months of your takes on this QB makes most of what you post laughable. Today was the cherry on top.

so you honestly think every single pass Tannehill has thrown is perfect?

I point out two throws that I thought could have been better and that somehow makes me a biased Tannehill hater.... a pretty sad world for some of you.

Great receivers drop easy passes. No one is 100% perfect. This isn't a zero sum game.

Over the last 10 yrs, there are very few people's opinion I value more when it comes to football or the Dolphins than CK. His responses are backed up by years of experience of watching games and tape. Not only is he respected on these forums.. He is respected on other media outlets. Not to say he has never been wrong or won't be in the future but.. His credibility goes far and beyond anything I can offer by just watching the games. I really think you should take a step back and realize there are people that just know more than others. He should actually be charging for the info and opinions he passes on in the club and on Twitter .. Not taking crap for it. I find you to be very disrespectful to a person that makes this forum what it is.. Best info on the Dolphins on the net.

you asked me what I thought, and I pointed out those 2 passes. one of which i said was a beautiful throw, yet somehow I am nit picking.... ok....
show me any where I back pedaled. Any where, any time.

If you are all excited by that game, which was perhaps not as even good as his last preseason, feel free to be all happy. I'm not going to get excited by 2 TD's against their second string defense.

CK thinks he knows a lot, and apparently you think he does too because he writes long posts and uses lots of words. That is awesome that you are in awe of him. I am happy you have someone to look up to.

I had nothing at all against him, he is the one that started attacking me just for asking questions. Like how dare someone question him. Seriously?

Honestly, what you have to say is of equal value as to what he has to say. This all is not brain surgery or rocket science. People defended the hiring of every coach we have had because they were NFL guys and experts.... look where they got the team.

I have no beef with you. You asked what I thought and you didnt like what i said, thus I am evil and bad.

I also said Doughty played bad (someone I really like) but somehow that all gets lost for some illogical reason.

so it is ok to say he dropped a pass, but not ok to say he sucks because he dropped a pass.

Could you put together a rule book on what is acceptable to say? might need to break it down by position and or player.

Like Dallas Thomas missed a block is ok, but to say he sucks cause he missed one is not.

More important than actually having knowledge of the game is having a sense of what you do and do not know. I think that's where I see the most trouble in this thread. It's OK to be confident about something that you know for sure that you know. Just don't be like horrifically wrong in that scenario (e.g. "That is what arm strength is based on, a distance a person can throw the ball, that is just fact."). If we're talking about something that you kind of think you know but recognize you might not really know, better to couch yourself and say this is just your impression, opinion, etc. But if someone weighs in who DOES actually know, and can weigh in authoritatively on some point of order or detail, and you start trying to get all argumentative playing the logical fallacy game about something that is for this person (because of their experience and knowledge) as obvious as water being wet, don't be shocked when they get a bit annoyed.

I never said you were evil or bad. I think you are blinded by your dislike for RT and your bias for Doughty. Your assessment of CK is totally ignorant...sorry. I am reminded of a scene in the Godfather where Don Corleone tells the landlord to ask around about him and see what people had to say. Ask around about CK, google his work. You will come back like the landlord came back...shaking, kissing his ring and apologizing. Not being the smartest guy in the room is not a crime...thinking you know more than the smartest guy in the room is, painfully criminal. BTW, I really like Doughty, optimistic that he can turn into the real deal...so does CK

If it was perfect, it would have led him in front, chest high, it didn't, so the pass was not perfect, that isn't even arguable, and that is your bias that sees a perfect pass, just saying.

Yes, you want Cameron to catch it, it was a drop, but from that range I want perfect passing, and that pass wasn't perfect, which is an on running problem with QB17.
