I would be very interested in bringing him in. First of all, he is someone who is well respected around the league and known to be a strong locker room guy. I've been saying for a while now that we need to bring in veteran leaders to help avoid the kind of things that we had to deal with recently. Jackson fits the bill. Furthermore, he's a linebacker and we surely need some of those. It would be a win-win. I know he's on the older side but IMO the benefits far outweigh the negatives as long as we could get him at a reasonable price. A position of need and a veteran locker room leader. We should be in on his services.
NFL media guys on twitter are showing a lot of love for Jackson for the way he carries himself as a leader and a player. We need this kind of guy in our locker room.
i think we already have to much money tied into the LB position, i don't expect a LB brought in in FA, a rookie could be possible but not a guy who will probably demand 3-5 million a year
Is he suited to play in a 4-3 though after all that time in a 3-4? I'm all for it from a character and leadership stand point but does he have the range for it? What do you do with Ellerbe if he was signed?
