Well gives the Vikings line a new dimension. No doubt Thomas can learn as he goes along and has the Williams wall to learn from.
Thats right I did hire coaches but should have I hired any couches? Alen I hope you can do my other picks now
Thomas is a player. Dream draft Earl Thomas Cam Thomas Thaddeus Gibson Mike Williams I would love if this happened on daft day.
Yeah I like him. I thought he had a shot to go in the 4th. It's okay though, I had Warren pretty close to him and I could use another CB.
I'm still kinda surprised at the talent this deep. I had trouble pin pointing what I wanted to do with my pick.
Well VO, Stuckey was indeed the other player I was looking at when I drafted Johnson. Really tough choice, but I like the one I made. In related news.... Stitches now has a Wang......
You've heard of BK... now you've heard of BBK... it's what happens before he BK's you... he takes your pick!
i like philli pick w/ Neal. considered him w/ Troup, but felt Troup fit better at nose. but Neal very nice value at 153
Neal is an underrated prospect IMO ... I talked with Alen about him yesterday. I think he's better suited to a 4-3 role but he thinks he could be a NT in the future. I guess I could see that considering his hands use and how active he is. I was seriously considering Neal at 158. Now the damn Eagles BK'd my plans.
hey, you BK'ed yourself. and he could play nose, but prolly wont fair well against MFers like jake grove. our front seven should be complete now, top to bottom.
He needs to learn technique but he's got power and a lot of it. He's got the weight room records at Purdue and he plays with very good leg drive on the field. Once he learns to use his hands better, he'll be a nice player IMO.
I just wonder if he's best fit in a zone scheme. I haven't seen the long speed from him and he was protected (if you want to call it that, since that scheme was a mess) in Michigan's scheme IMO. He has had some good moments but his footwork is not very good, he gets very high in his backpedal and he gets washed out in the run from what I've seen. I don't know, I could be wrong but judging from what I've seen at Michigan, he's got a lot to do to become a nickel cornerback. Boom likes him IIRC. I don't as much.
I understand those concerns. I don't need him to be a nickel cornerback right off the bat, but I could use a 5th corner and I liked his size and athleticism. I'd see what he had though and give him a shot at the nickel role.
