Had he not just sent in a pick, yes. You can't skip over a player unless it's within an hour of your deadline to pick.
DGB is a surprise for me, talent and physical measurements are there but there are some red flags for a top fifteen pick.
I never take chances on guys who have off the field issues. Ever. This is my first exception. You exclude the off the field issues and he's a top 5 pick. I grabbed him at #13.
DGB is the biggest wildcard in this draft IMO. The ability is through the roof obviously. The guy is a freak. Then you obviously have the off the field stuff. But aside from that you have an incredibly raw WR who will need to improve in several areas to make it in the NFL. He's also been out of football for a year. If he does develop in these areas then watch out. But so many people seem to think the risk with him is strictly the off the field things. To me, the bigger risk is how far he has to come on the field.
His combine tests werent quite what expected but i still love the player. Very talented. Needs a strong leader imo in the nfl.
And good coaching IMO. He still has a lot to learn from a technical standpoint. One thing that I was really surprised to see on film was how many times he lets the ball come down to him rather that high pointing it and using his massive size. I'm not saying he never high-points it, but when you are blessed with that kind of size you should be using it to your advantage every single time you have the opportunity to. And that doesn't even get into how raw he is as a route runner.
Hes mocked around where he was taken in most of the latest Mocks Ive seen...so personally its a great pick. With no red flags hes gone by pick 5
Waiting to hear back about a trade from someone who's currently at work, so I might not be making a pick immediately. In the meantime, if anyone else is interested in #14, you know where to find me. #Boik'sSister'sApt
With no red flags, the NFL would still take into consideration how green he is, because the fact is he's only played 2 years of college ball, hasn't played a snap since 2013, and might need at least a year to learn the NFL.
I understand that. It's just that if you're drafting him under the expectations that he'll be starting as a rookie, you might be aiming a little high is all. The talent is obviously there. Personally I'd rather have White, so if there were only 1 receiver taken in the top 5, it would be White for me regardless of DGB's history.
If I can't get this trade done in time it looks heavily like there might be one less receiver on the board once my pick is made.
Na, Todd obviously sweet talked NYJ into giving him an extension. An extension im confident he needs due to the snugness of Boiks Sis.
yes, but not when your pick is due by 4 PM EST. "The time next to your pick is when you must have your selection in by"
