Discuss the draft here If you will not be able to make your pick during your time slot, please feel free to sent myself or NYGallday a draft bulletin. If anyone else would like to volunteer to accept draft bulletins, you are welcome to do so.
I wont be around but I'll be selecting Jalen Ramsey. Best player has to be selected. Yeah they signed Rashad Johnson but to a 1 year deal. I imagine Ramsey will be playing some type of S/CB hybrid role on the defense.
Sure did throw my Cowboy pick for a loop. Was going with him for the post-Romo time... which I see coming sooner than later.
I wont be happy either. The NYG are my second favorite team and really only Marino prevented me from selecting them over the Phins.
Sorry guys I'm on business travel the past few days and won't be back until tomorrow night. I'm fine with someone selecting for a team that is skipped.
I should have been more clear when I made the pick for Philly, GIK sent me a bulletin which is why I made the pick for him.
Ok well I was tryin to give the teams ahead of my the benefit of the doubt but I guess Ill go ahead then?
They've been given prior notice that the draft started today and its been hours since their deadline. I don't think anyone should have hurt feelings.
I considered VH3 for the NYG but ultimately they need players on the LOS more then then the perimeter. Would LOVE if the Dolphins picked him. Or Stanley.
All for skipping ahead to the next pick but if we're going to get it somewhat realistic there has to be something in place to pick for the skipped team at some point or else theres going to be 6 active teams stacked with top 25% talent haha
Highest rated LT left or in the entire draft? Cause I mean, I love me some Stanley... and he's leaps and bounds ahead of the 3rd best guy...but he ain't Tunsil
If they haven't picked by midnight, they'll be assigned the best player available according to a third party draft board (NFL.com)
He did play in a Pro style system as opposed to Tunsil so I can see the reasoning. I think Tunsil is no. 1 but by a razor-thin margin.
If its been this long, then it is probably the best thing to do. Does 2 hours sound like a good time limit? I don't want to do it immediately after their deadline that way if they get online 15 minutes late, they can still make a decision for themselves.
Tunsil may be more athletic but Stanley is a much better tactician. Stanley is a better pass blocker by a decent margin imo and the run blocking is close. Stanley is Richmond Webb or D Brickashaw Ferguson part 2. Im not sure what Tunsil is. His combine is better then a lot of his film.
Just to clarify, 3 hours from the alloted start time right? Not from on the clock? Kinda hard to work around work schedule unless I know ahead of time.
Basically 1 hour of exclusivity to make a pick and 2 hours to run up with a card before youre given a pick
That has to be worst case scenario for Miami. I'd either take William Jackson or trade down. Darren Lee would be tempting too.
Id be pretty comfortable with any one of Apple, Dodd, Ogbah, Lee, Treadwell, or one of my darkhorse favorites...Vonn Bell. If we could move down and do it, even better. Jackson is a late 1st/early 2nd grade to me; something between 28-35 seems right as I could really see the case for him vs any of the players Id see going in that range
Damn, sorry guys. I didn't realize we started and apparently my box was full. I would have taken Goff at 7, though, so that worked out. For Miami it was really tough. They need a CB and with the guys left it is pretty even on a talent standpoint between a bunch of guys. I think Apple is a better fit schematically. Lee was given strong consideration, but I think the need is stronger at CB.
I was like, why did Atlanta pick before me? But I forget that the times listed are Eastern Time. It didn't help that I was waiting on the Rams.
I'd say that Vikings need someone to rotate in. Vikings were crap when Joseph went out. I do love Billings but I think Vikings could have got that rotational player later on.
As the Seahawks, I'd think they would be thrilled if either one of Lewan or Conklin fell to them at 26. Their OL is a mess. If Conklin was gone I probably would have considered Whitehair, even though I don't like taking guards in the first.
I figured it was too good to be true to have Conklin fall to be at 28. Even though I don't need a tackle, he'd be an easy candidate to push inside to guard but also assume the role of swing tackle.
Surprised to see Spence fall that far. If he keeps his nose clean (literally) he should be an excellent edge player.
I had one next on my list but with such a deep class of DTs this year, I decided to go with another position.
I might have taken him with Detroit had Treadwell not been there. And with Coleman being selected I'm a bit happier taking Treadwell where I did.
I wouldn't be surprised if Michael Thomas turns out to be the best receiver in this class. I see some Hakeem Nicks in him but without the injury concerns (although Nicks wasn't really injury prone at UNC).
