I think Treadwell is a steal there. IMO, he is the only WR in this class that belongs up there with the guys in the past two drafts. I think Thomas is severely underrated. I think he is a very good WR, and while I don't think he will be better than Treadwell, it would not shock me one bit if he were the next best WR.
Ill stay up a little longer to see if things get rolling, if not I'll be back in the morning or around lunch.
Been a nutty week but I should be back for the rest of the draft now. Just for reference I would have gone with Vernon Hargreaves with the way it had shaken out.
I'm not the biggest Will Fuller fan (mostly because many have him rated ahead of guys like Michael Thomas and as a 1st round pick), but I think he's a fine pick at this point of the draft. He will, at the very least be good vertical threat that can take the top off of defenses. I don't know that he can be much more than that, but if you get a guy like that in round 2, I think you're happy. I actually considered him at 37 because SF could use WR help, but I think they already have a similar player in Torrey Smith.
I was between Kendall Fuller and Will Fuller for Jax at 38, but thought that CB was a bigger need. Taking a WR in the 2nd may be to much for Jax considering they do still have 4 young WRs in Robinson, Hurns, R Greene and M Lee.
Bullard could very easily end up being the better player. He would have been in play for me if he got to Miami's pick.
I like Henry if he's used right and kept fresh until later in the game and just punishes defenses in the 3rd 4th qtr. But I agree, a lot of mid round backs to like in this draft.
I do too, but I see Booker as a safer bet while still having significant upside. If there were a player that really stood out to me at another position, I would have waited a round or two for a RB, but there wasn't any players that I saw as crazy value, so I went with a guy who I feel fills a need and still represents value.
Boyd is really my favorite receiver in this draft. Gotta get stronger definitely but his route-running, hands, and competitiveness is all top notch.
Some really good picks were made in the last 10 or so picks. I was really hoping Boyd would get to the 49ers. I'm starting to think I should have waited on a RB for Miami, though. It's looking like one of my top 3-4 would have been there in round 3.
Id be very tempted as Miami or (tampa in my case) to move the 3rd rnd back into the bottom of the 2nd again for some key positions.
Didn't want to jump a few people but went ahead and made my pick since I was on the clock officially.
Since Da Fins owns both skipped picks of GB and Pit I'll give him another hour or so and then I'll pick for both teams. Hopefully Schniso can hold off on his back to back picks until then.
