I have a screw N.E. draft proposal. Supposedly, they really love Baker Mayfield and we supposedly love Da'Ron Payne, Derrick Guise and Sony Michel. If Mayfield falls to 1-6, we trade Indy 1-11 and 2-10 to move up. (Supposedly Indy would like to move down in to the middle rounds if they can get another 2nd round pick, but not to the bottom.)
We then trade 1-6 to N.E. for their 1-23, 1-31 and 2-11 (The points are close.) We should get one of the three players we want, maybe two and still draft a TE with our second pick. If only one of those players is there, we could trade 1-31 to Indy or Cleveland for 2 of their 2nd round picks.
While I'd love to grab Minkah Fitzpatrick, Derwin James or Roquan Smith (They're always gone by 1-11) with #11, this is a trade I could really get behind.
I tried the scenario on Fanspeak several times and got this twice:
23: R1P23 DL DA'RON PAYNE WASHINGTON
31: R1P31 RB DERRIUS GUICE LSU
42: R2P10 TE MIKE GESICKI PENN STATE
I'd take that in a heartbeat. (Minkah Fitzpatrick, Derwin James Roquan Smith are always gone by 1-11)

I wonder if the recent news of guice May of been lying about the questions at the combine will drop his stock..
I thought he was lying when he came out with it so I wouldn’t drop a 2nd on him.
And I dont want gisicki anywhere near our team, don’t care what he can do flexed, not my cup of teaLast edited: Apr 10, 2018danmarino likes this. -
the day we can screw New England over in a trade will be a first. you think trading up and then trading down, hoping New England will pay the king's ransom? No way New England would ever do that.

Patriots probably see us make our trade then laugh and trade for the #4 with Cleveland.

After edit:
However, if you slip on a tinfoil hat and believe Bellicheat is still angry about Kraft forcing him to trade Jimmy G away to the 9ers? I could see him giving up all those picks to move up and grab a QB he doesn't really believe in. Or that at least won't be of any help to Brady winning a Super Bowl this year. Billy boy tanks the New England draft and then retires, leaving McDaniels to guide the team to another Championship? I'd love to see it happen, but it falls under the 'too good to be true' category. :)Last edited: Apr 13, 2018 -

I just can’t get myself to want a player that has that level of weakness to his game..
First off I think he’s gonna get pummeled or get someone else hurt..
2nd, he’s a huge tell to a defense so I’m just not into giving the defense an advantage presnap..that part of the game is too important for me when we’re tslking about offense..
