Lee should be a Ted or Mike backer in the 3-4 depending on your lexicon. I know you know Jim, but other may not know that a Mike doesn't just mean the middle linebacker in a 3-4 and they have separate tags - I just wanted to clarify that statement above. -
The result is they often are not very experienced corners in the grand scheme of things. Tom Bradley was there when I was there, and that's what he did then, and what he relies on now a great deal.
Personally, I would give those guys a wide berth if you catch my drift. Maybe head in another direction.jim1 likes this. -
Dunno Conu, Lee to me is one of those PSU ILB's who is limited athletically but the scheme helped in college.
The guy from PSU on my radar is Mickey Shuler Jr.. -
PSU produces steady players at LB over he last few years. The supposed athletic freaks benefitted from the scheme more than the "safe" and steady players like Lee and Posluzny IMO. -
-
What?
As for Shuler, 7th rd prospect, great blocker, plays ST, what's not to like? -
-
The highlight video on that site makes him look really bad. Invisible in fact.
-
The guy I see on that video is a guy I might spend a 6th rounder on. No higher, imo.
I am really curious, are there any players coming off an injured season who were very highly rated before the injury?
Those guys can be great value picks. Like Jasper Brinkley last year. -
That isn't a highlight reel at all. That is 3 games broken down into plays that focus on specific areas that are important to being a LB on the next level IMO.
POA, Mobility/Coverage and Reading the action.
If you want highlights there are a bunch more videos for that. That video should should you what he does well, what he does not so well and other identifiable nuances. I hope anyways -

Long thin legs like that are liable to get hurt in pile ups.
Hm.
Personally I LOVE the video for showing all phases, strengths AND weaknesses. I hate when it's just highlights. You can't assess players at all that way. -
Most Penn State players you can expect them to need added lower half training coming out. Thats my take, so take it for what it's worth. -
Didn't you play a year at Penn?

Isn't that when their cafeteria discontinued conch fritters from the menu?
