can someone tell me why we would draft Jake Long when we already have Vernon Carey? I'm really not understanding that one.
Jake Long advocates either want to move Carey back to RT, or just don't appreciate what Carey is doing at LT. The problem with all this is that Long doesn't project to LT in the NFL. He'll be a Right Tackle... which means his draft stock is going to plummet.
Yeah. Add the fact that there are a lot of good prospects in this year's draft and you can get someone like Otah or Cherilus in the 2nd
That's my first rd 2 pick right now though its too early to know where everyone is going to be slotted yet
With the first pick in the 2nd round we should be able to nab a first round talent. Depending on how the numbers roll, I'm thinking we could have a shot at any of the following: RTs Cherilus and Otah WR Manningham CBs Cason, Talib (kind of a wild card right now) and King LB Dan Conner
The DB, DL and OL positions are very deep this year. The DB doesnt have that amazing quality at the top but its very solid and deep. Those are the positions I would like to concentrate on in rds 2 and 3 (3 total picks) With receiver I was thinking Bryant Johnson and Brandon Stokely in free agency but Manningham would be good if we go draft I think Conner will be gone in the 1st but if he fell I would take him immediately with our first 2nd
