Dream Team coach Daly dead at 78

DETROIT (AP) -- Chuck Daly, who coached the original Dream Team to the Olympic gold medal in 1992 after winning back-to-back NBA championships with the Detroit Pistons, has died. He was 78.
He died Saturday morning in Jupiter, Fla., with his family by his side, the team said.The Pistons announced in March that the Hall of Fame coach had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was undergoing treatment.

To be honest, I really hated his Pistons Championship teams but always respected Daly for getting the most out of his players.....
The NBA lost one of its true legends when Daly passed..... May god rest his soul...

Yeah...it's too bad. I used to watch him take Dumars, Isiah, Laimbeer and Rodman out against Jordan's Bulls every year and it was like watching theatre on hard wood. He was very much a part of the NBA's vibrant history.
