Steelers agreed to terms with DT Anthony McFarland, formerly of the Colts. It's a little surprising Booger passed a physical considering he's coming off a torn patellar tendon and isn't expected to be ready for Week 1. McFarland has very little experience in a 3-4, but could help in a rotation at defensive end. He isn't a threat to Brett Keisel or Aaron Smith's starting jobs. Torn Patellar tendon? I thought he had some mental issue or something lol. Was that someone else who had that?
It's amazing how short the shelf life can be for a DT. What a shame. Booger was an animal not so long ago.
UPDATE The Steelers have elected not to sign DL Anthony McFarland, according to the Beaver County Times. The sides agreed to terms Tuesday, but the team opted not to sign Booger after putting him through a workout. McFarland is recovering from a patellar tendon tear, so it's no surprise that he'd look unimpressive physically. Source: Beaver County Times http://www.rotoworld.com/content/home_NFL.aspx
