Cha Ching, big bump in pay. Let's hope that motivates him to find yet another gear.
What other gems are hiding out on the practice squad?

Johnson played lights out yesterday and deservedly earned his spot on the active roster. I wish I could say he’s the long term answer to our lack of a running game, but he’s been in the league for 7 years. Rarely does a running back have that long of longevity. Walter Payton, Marcus Allen, Emmitt Smith and Jerome Bettis come to mind but those are few and far in between.

I absolutely agree and couldn't be happier for him- he earned that roster spot! I hope we keep Lindsay as well.

Ahmed is probably the odd man out.

Even if he isn't the long term answer at least maybe, possibly Grier will notice that we need to draft a stud RB and, maybe another one of those big guys that line up in front of the QB.

I think this proves quite the opposite. They literally found a running back on the street. If you have a good run blocking, anyone can look like a good running back. Resources should be spent on offensive line and look for a competent running back later on the draft.

Here's my take- we need a stud RB today...and now we have two solid candidates in Johnson and Lindsay. They're two different types of runners as well, both different types of explosive, and they're a gift coming in fresh in week 16.

Long-term doesn't matter...today matters. Next week matters. Neither has to be long-term answers at this point. If they are, then great, but we'll worry about that next season.

His biggest stat line was 81 yards after contact out of 107 yards.

I think signing older players off practice squads should be regular practice. He hasn't had a full season of wear and tear.

Best RB performance we've seen all year. Gaskin's wasn't shabby too.

Jets had no answer on the run defence.

Well deserved! It was fun watching an effective run game yesterday and he was great at YAC

He ran against the defense of the jets enough said. He earned a spot but he isn’t The long term answer at all. Glad he had a good game but not going to get excited unless he does that for the next three weeks
