So i figured I could make a thread about each news/rumor item, or we make an E3 BS thread...
Here we go, post all of your mess for E3 here. I'll start....
Fresh off the Rumor mill, Microsoft is supposed to announce Hulu for the 360 in this year's E3. Thoughts?

There are a few things I am looking forward to seeing if they actually happen and then there are a couple games I hope to see.
Sony - Rumored upgraded XMB, Rumored PSN Premium Service, Rumored new iPad like PSP, more on Move, Killzone 3, then there are a few surprise exclusives being thrown around.
Microsoft - Gears of War 3, More Natal, and Microsoft is always good for a few great surprises.
Nintendo - ....
General - I'm guessing there will be some Dead Space 2 and Fallout New Vegas updated details.
So I have a few things on my nerdgenda. -
This E3 seems pretty low-key to me. It's probably because I know my desires and expectations won't be fulfilled.
What I want:
Ninja Gaiden 3
Dragon Quest VI US release date
Suikoden VI
New 2D Castlevania
Ace Attorney 5
Super Paper Mario 2
What I'll get:
Zelda Wii information. Maybe.
Yeah, this is going to suck. -
yeah but anything with link on it will win "Best of Show" no matter how silly the trailer is or no matter how much more of the same Zelda formula it is... The crowd will roar
-
I'm a MMORPG guy that has been without one for a little while now, think FFXIV and SW: TOR both have potential so those would be the two I'm looking out for. More XIV than TOR simply because it should release first, and for that reason I've been more focused on the XIV news.
-
Is anyone else hoping for a new GTA installment? I wouldn't say I am expecting GTA 5 or anything of that matter.
-
Rockstar isn't at E3 this year.
Btw Valve isn't announcing Portal 2 but do have a special surprise in store. My guess is Episode 3. -
or it could be Left 4 Dead 2,3,4,5, and 6. Let's see how many times people will buy the same old game over and over.
-
Also aren't they possibly debuting the Xbox360 Slim this year?
-
I havent heard anything about that, but I wont rule it out for one reason... Natal.
The standard Xbox 360 that 25 million people have does not match this thing at all....
Maybe the slim looks more like that.... -
Maybe some news on MGS: Rising???
-
:pity:
-
when is E3?

Does anyone think we will hear more about a game lineup for project natal? I have been holding off getting a Wii for my kids, (and me...there are some damn fun games on it..)...because of the release of Project Natal....but I wonder what kind of games we will see....
-
I believe so
-
See I had read some articles on N4G that there was a rumor of a 360 Slim. Seeing as how it's N4G it is most likely a rumor but I was wondering if possibly anyone else had heard anything.
As for Natal...if I have to use motion controls it's the coolest looking of the bunch.
It is June 15-17.
Here is the link for who will do what each day:
http://www.e3expo.com/ -
Yet another Halo game will be revealed.
And maybe another ****ty Sonic game. -
I don't know why one would prevent you from buying the other. Despite some manner of motion control, the actual subject matter and content of the games will be completely different.
I mean, you're not going to see a Natal version of Mario Galaxy. -
I think it starts next week, the 14th.
-
kind of all i want from e3....and some infamous 2 footage maybe.
-
Another Rumor is that the 3DS is supposed to be more powerful than the Wii....
http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2010/06/07/nintendo-3ds-rumored-to-out-power-the-wii/ -
I have grown to dislike Zelda games.
-
ditto... I couldnt play through Twilight Princess. I don't understand what the big whoop is anymore. I know a lot of games used the same tried and true formula... But Zelda REALLY keeps it old. I can sum up every Zelda game...
Some bad guy is after some power.. This usually involves a princess Zelda. A hero emerges who finds his way to a place which will uncover a power or item that will conveniently get him to the next place to get the next item or power. This will happen 8-10 times before you're given a "tough" point. A frustrating point is probably better. Then you go use 2-3 of these powers to kill the last boss who is soooo powerful yet left the things that can kill him in a dungeon not far from him. There's hearts to make you tougher located all around the world... and perfectionists will argue that they found them all. As with Mario games, there's no real story to speak of... It's just a half baked story in place to get you through a puzzle based dungeon crawler.
Yawn.
But again, there's about 10 million gamers that think I'm crazy, so I'm probably the anomaly. -
I highly doubt this, even though the Wii is basically an overclocked Gamecube.
I think if Nintendo can approach Gamecube level graphics, they'll have a pretty solid engineering feat on their hands. -
This is what I was thinking. Just imagine the battery life on a handheld device that has the graphics capability of a PS3 or 360.
I agree with what Desides in saying about it being closer to the Gamecube.Desides likes this. -
You are not alone. I couldn't even finish Ocarina of Time.
-
I hated Ocarina of Time, but loved Twilight Princess, despite all the "TP = OoT" comparisons.
-
"Punch Rex Ryan in the ****ing Mouth" would be an awesome launch Title for Natal.

Surprise Surprise.
Valve pushes back an announced video game.
Portal 2.
The Official Press Release;
"
VALVE ANNOUNCES MAKING GAMES IS HARD
June 9, 2010 — Aperture Science, doing business as Aperture Laboratories LLC, in partnership with Valve today announced the successful completion of an ethics-review-panel-supervised release date restructuring process. Portal 2, the sequel to the ground-breaking title that earned over 30 Game of the Year awards despite missing its original ship date, is now targeted for a 2011 release.
Representatives from both companies acknowledged that public safety concerns factored into the decision. They went on to say that even though Portal 2 will arrive slightly later than planned, all life on earth won’t instantaneously stop as every molecule in your body explodes at the speed of light, which is what would happen should a rip ever appear in the fabric of Valve Time.
“Also, the game will be even better,” they added, missing an historic opportunity to create the first product delay press release to mention that a product is being delayed to make it worse."
-
That announcement is precisely why I didn't let myself get too excited about Portal 2. Really, I think Valve should stop giving out release dates entirely, and just make it so that we connect to Steam one day and see their next game available for purchase.
Coincidentally, Portal 2 will be on display at E3, though via appointment only. I'm thinking Valve is going to announce something related to HL2 Episode 3 to make up for the Portal 2 delay, too. -
-
I'm hoping to see a ton of info from blizz for SC 2 Diablo 3 and cataclysm. Hoping, also, for more info on PS3 motion based controllers. Just curious. Some news on a Dragons Age sequel would be nice too.
-
Blizz will probably release most info at their own Blizzcon in October, though if Im not mistaken Starcraft II is coming out in July? Thought I heard that date somewhere.
-
Seen it. That's a cropped image. The full image has G-Man in the background.
It doesn't mean anything until Episode 3 is shown and dated. Hopefully for this year. Then again, Valve Time cares not for the Gregorian calendar. -
It's going to be at least another year, possibly two, before we start hearing anything about the next generation of consoles. All three companies are happy to keep the current gen going, and developers aren't exactly looking forward to yet another leap in their costs signified by another generation.finyank13 likes this.

After MGS4, I think I'm kinda over Metal Gear games... At least the way they are now. The formula is getting stale and the story is waaaaay over done at this point (in my humbled opinion of course). The hype makes it worse... Because MGS4 was a great game... It just didn't live up to the madness of all of those years of hyping it to be the best and best-selling game evar.
-
Disagree there. MGS4 lived up to every iota of hype. One of the best games of the decade, IMO. It may or may not be better than MGS3, but the difference between them is minute.
If Peace Walker is any indication of future quality, then you should definitely give Rising a chance.
